  • Patent number: 8721238
Abstract: In the case of a tool clamping device, in particular, for an operating spindle of a processing machine, with an activation element (3) that can be moved by a drive between a first position, in which the tool clamping device is located in a clamped position, and a second position, in which the tool clamping device is located in a released position, a sensor is present in the form of at least one electrical component for detecting a position of the activation element (3). The sensor is integrated structurally into the tool clamping device and at least one section of the activation element (3) directly forms a component of the one or more electrical components, wherein its position influences an electrical property of this component. The component can be an electrical switch whose closed state depends on the position of the activation element (3) in that at least one section of the activation element (3) is electrically conductive and forms a contact electrode of the switch or a part of such an electrode.

  • Patent number: 7882853
Abstract: The invention pertains to a rotary feed-through for supplying a fluid to a rotating machine part with a hollow shaft (3) that is rotatably supported in a housing (1, 2) and has a first sliding surface (29), with a sealing bushing (31) that is arranged in a rotationally fixed fashion within the housing (1, 2) coaxial to the shaft (3) and has a second sliding surface (30) for contacting the first sliding surface (29), and with a collecting chamber (27) that is arranged within the housing (1, 2) and serves for collecting the leakage fluid escaping between the two sliding surfaces (29, 30). The leakage fluid collected within the rotary feed-through can be monitored with the aid of a detection channel (26, 33, 34, 37, 39, 47) in the housing (1, 2) that is connected to the collecting chamber (27) and contains a leakage sensor (41).

  • Publication number: 20090280743
Abstract: In a device for wireless transmission of signals between two parts (17, 23) of a processing machine, wherein, when the processing machine is operating, one of these parts rotates relative to the other part about an axis (18), several antennas (8A, 8B, 8C; 108A, 108B, 108C; 13A, 13B, 13C) are arranged on at least one of the two parts (17, 23) in an at least approximately regular distribution with respect to the peripheral direction of rotation. The antennas (8A, 8B, 8C; 108A, 108B, 108C; 13A, 13B, 13C) are connected in parallel to a transmit device (7) and/or receive device (12) allocated to each part (17, 23). The lengths of the individual antennas (8A, 8B, 8C) overlap in the peripheral direction of rotation, and the antennas are arranged at least partially offset radially and/or in the longitudinal direction of the rotational axis (18).

  • Patent number: 7473060
Abstract: The subject matter of the present invention relates to a clamping device for clamping a tool or a tool holder (2) in a machine spindle (1), comprising a drawbar (6) that can axially move back and forth between a clamping position and a release position, a clamping spring (18) for actuating the drawbar (6) in the direction of the clamping position, a minimum of one sensor (20) for monitoring the clamping force, and a clamping cone (8) having a plurality of clamping elements (9) that rest against its outside surface, which clamping elements, via the axial movement of the clamping cone (8) by means of the drawbar (6), can be moved back and forth between a clamping position in which the tool or tool holder (2) is retained and a release position in which the tool or tool holder (2) is released.
