A table plane contains the front pile bearing surface. The cutting device further includes a movable upper blade, a lower blade including a cutting edge, and a cutting aid for fixing sheet piles that is upstream from the upper blade along a transport path for transporting sheet piles. A movable support element has a contact surface for supporting sheets and is movable between a support position and a disposal position.
