  • Patent number: 12273737
Abstract: A wireless communication system including: at least a first terrestrial or non-terrestrial base station, the first base station configured to generate one or more beams for covering at least a first beam coverage area; wherein the first base station is configured to broadcast at least to the first beam coverage area a list of tracking area IDs including a first tracking area ID belonging to a first tracking region and a second tracking area ID belonging to a second tracking region.

  • Publication number: 20230370998
Abstract: Systems and methods for building digital twins and navigating using digital twins. Reference signal and identifier data sent via antennas is obtained. Timing advance parameters for signals sent to the antennas are received. One or more machine learning models are applied to the reference signal data and timing advance parameters. Each machine learning model is trained to output antenna positions, antenna configurations, or both, and may be trained using training antenna configurations in the form of reference models representing different potential antenna configurations. Based on the outputs of the machine learning models, potential interference for devices occupying various locations within the network are determined. Navigation decisions, gaps in network coverage, or both, are determined based on the potential interference. As a result, interference by one or more devices moving within the network is reduced, thereby improving signal quality.

  • Patent number: 8976838
Abstract: An apparatus for assigning transmission symbols to a media data stream of information symbols is described, the media data stream including a first substream for representing media content in a basic quality and a second substream including additional data for representing the media content, along with the first substream, in an improved quality. The apparatus includes a first assigner for assigning first transmission symbols to the information symbols of the first substream and a second assigner for assigning second transmission symbols to the information symbols of the second substream, the first transmission symbols being transmissible, via a transmission channel, with reduced error probability as compared to the second transmission symbols.
