  • Publication number: 20210187698
Abstract: A polishing device is held on a robot arm and has a support plate, a polishing disc held on the support plate, a drive moving the support plate in a plane, and a metering device for feeding a polishing agent to the working side of the polishing disc. An application nozzle of the metering device is guided through an open central axis of the support plate, the polishing disc having a central opening for allowing the passage of the polishing agent metered in computer-controlled manner.

  • Publication number: 20210053185
Abstract: A method for grinding and/or polishing a defect in the surface coating of a workpiece involves holding a grinding or polishing disc held on a tool and guiding the disc with pressure over the defect with orbital, rotating and/or vibrating movements. The tool fitted with the grinding or polishing disc is moved over the defect automatically and in a computer-controlled manner based on a stored program, wherein the grinding or polishing disc is first guided along a concentrically inner grinding path relative to the defect and then without interruption is guided along a spiral grinding path to an outer concentric grinding path.

  • Publication number: 20210008682
Abstract: A method for removing a flaw on a treated, finally painted surface by grinding involves, after the flaw has been detected, moving a flexible abrasive sheet to the surface and pressing it against the flaw to be machined in such a way that the flaw is detected by a sensor system, which is operatively connected to a robotic arm carrying the grinding plate. The abrasive sheet, which is designed as an abrasive belt, is fed to the grinding plate and the abrasive sheet being pressed against the flaw.

  • Publication number: 20200324393
Abstract: A device for exchanging a polishing disc that coated with a polishing agent during operation includes the polishing disc being made from a foam material, foam rubber, felt or lambskin and fastened to a support plate of a polishing tool held on a robot. The device includes an exchanging device having at least one dispenser in which a stack of polishing discs is arranged. The dispenser has a discharge opening, the clear width of which is smaller than the assigned dimension of the polishing disc and larger than the assigned dimension of the support plate. An axially movable sliding device on which the stack rests is provided on the side facing away from the discharge opening.
