  • Patent number: 11579222
Abstract: To operate a magnetic resonance tomography system, first analysis signals are received by a main receive antenna and an auxiliary receive antenna. Based thereon, a first interference source and first weighting factors are determined. Second analysis signals are received by the main receive antenna and the auxiliary receive antenna and in accordance with the first weighting factors, a combination of the second analysis signals is created. Based thereon, a second interference source is determined. Second weighting factors are determined in order to suppress the influence of the first interference source and an influence of the second interference source. A magnetic resonance signal is received during an examination phase by the main receive antenna and an interference signal by the auxiliary receive antenna. An interference-suppressed magnetic resonance signal is created as a combination of the magnetic resonance signal and the interference signals depending on the second weighting factors.

  • Patent number: 9880249
Abstract: Various embodiments relate to a method for determining distortion-reduced magnetic resonance data in a subarea of a magnetic resonance system located along a radial direction of the magnetic resonance system at the edge of a field of view of the magnetic resonance system. The method includes positioning the object to be examined at a first and a second position along an axial direction of the magnetic resonance system and acquiring first magnetic resonance data in the subarea at the first position and acquiring second magnetic resonance data in the same subarea at the second position. The method also includes determining distortion-reduced magnetic resonance data based on the first and second magnetic resonance data.

  • Patent number: 9297872
Abstract: An apparatus and a method for generating an image from N reception signal data sets of signals received by a plurality of coils of a magnetic resonance tomography appliance from a region of a body to be examined using an image processing computer are provided. The apparatus includes a degree-of-compression determining device. A ratio N/M of the number N of N reception signal data sets generated from the signals received by the plurality of coils to a smaller number M of mode data sets is defined taking account of a plurality of parameters. The plurality of parameters at least also represent system resources of the image processing computer. Using a compression computer, the N reception signal data sets are compressed into M mode data sets. After this, the M mode data sets are used by the image processing computer for generating the image of the region of the body.

  • Patent number: 8143891
Abstract: A system uses a three-dimensional spoiled gradient recalled echo sequence for fat suppression with reduced total acquisition time suitable for acquiring image data under breath-hold conditions using a reversed asymmetry during data acquisition on an opposed phase echo. A system reduces RF pulse repetition time in an MR imaging pulse sequence in an MR imaging device. The system includes an RF pulse generator for generating an RF excitation pulse sequence having a pulse repetition interval. A read-out gradient magnetic field generator generates an asymmetric read-out gradient magnetic field having a readout gradient mid-point occurring prior to an RF echo pulse peak. The RF echo pulse peak is received in response to a generated RF excitation pulse.

  • Patent number: 7319324
Abstract: In a method and apparatus for magnetic resonance imaging based on a partially parallel acquisition (PPA) reconstruction technique, a number of partial k-space data sets are acquired with a number of component coils, the totality of the partial data sets forming a complete k-space data set, the respective coil sensitivity of each component coil is determined based on at least one part of the complete k-space data set, any partial k-space data set is transformed via a PPA reconstruction technique dependent on the determined coil sensitivities, and the transformed partial data sets are superimposed to obtain a low-artifact image data set.
