  • Publication number: 20010027243
Abstract: The invention provides polyisocyanates containing isocyanate groups from 1,4-diisocyanato-2,2,6-trimethylcyclohexane, having a trimer fraction of more than 80% by weight and an NCO content of at least 19.3%.
    Type: Application
    Filed: March 29, 2001
    Publication date: October 4, 2001
    Applicant: Degussa AG
Inventors: Stephan Kohlstruk, Emmanouil Spyrou, Klaus Pinske
  • Patent number: 6258915
Abstract: Solid polyurethane hardeners (curing agents) having triazine groups, are prepared by reacting polyaddition compounds with a second compound having a >C═N— group. The polyaddition compounds are prepared by reacting a uretdione-functional polyisocyanate with a hydroxy-functional chain extender.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 1, 1999
Date of Patent: July 10, 2001
    Assignee: Degussa-Huels Aktiengesellschaft
Inventors: Emmanouil Spyrou, Stephan Kohlstruk, Holger Loesch
  • Patent number: 6160075
Abstract: A two-component polyurethane coating composition essentially comprising (A) a polyols component, (B) a polyisocyanate component, wherein the polyisocyanate component (B) comprises at least 30% by weight of a polyisocyanate based on 2-methylpentane-1,5-diisocyanate and a polyisocyanate based on isophorone diisocyanate, the sum of the two polyisocyanates being 100% by weight.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 25, 1998
Date of Patent: December 12, 2000
    Assignee: Huels Aktiengesellschaft
Inventors: Friedrich Plogmann, Rainer Lomoelder, Stephan Kohlstruk
  • Patent number: 6093817
Abstract: A reduced-color isocyanurate-functional polyisocyanate is prepared by partially trimerizing 1-isocyanato-3,3,5-trimethyl-5-isocyanatomethylcyclohexane (IPDI) having a low total chlorine content of less than 80 mg/kg in the presence of a catalyst, thereby resulting in a product isocyanurate-functional polyisocyanate having a content of free NCO groups of between 10 and 22% and a residual monomer content of less than 0.7%.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 29, 1998
Date of Patent: July 25, 2000
    Assignee: Huels Aktiengesellschaft
Inventors: Stephan Kohlstruk, Jansen Volker, Rainer Lomoelder
