  • Publication number: 20150328038
Abstract: A cervical brace (10) providing support and stability to the neck of a wearer, and arranged to prevent excessive cervical flexion, extension and lateral flexion while allowing cervical rotation. The cervical brace of the invention comprises a shoulder brace (11) arranged to rest on the shoulders of the wearer; a head piece (12) supported by the shoulder brace (11) configured to encircle the back of the head of the wearer; a head rest (14) adjustably attached to the head piece (12) to support the back of the neck of the wearer; and a front support member (16) arranged with a chin support (19) movably mounted thereon is attached to the head piece (12). The chin support (19) is freely rotatable in three planes of three axes of rotation.

  • Patent number: 9054552
Abstract: A system for power distribution and communication over a two-wire network comprises a control unit (dedicated or distributed) configured to receive power from the two-wire network and provided with a transceiver circuitry connected to the two-wire network, a power converter unit having a power converter which converts incoming voltage to a DC-voltage of less than 50 V and feeds the DC-voltage to the two-wire network, and a power fuse unit with a power fuse identity connected between the power converter and the two-wire network. The power fuse unit forwards the DC-voltage to the two-wire network and comprises a transceiver circuitry connected to the two-wire network and a fuse. The system monitors an amount of power consumed in the network and activates a power switch in the power fuse unit when the amount of power consumed in the two-wire network exceeds predetermined limits.

  • Publication number: 20140111302
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for controlling communication in a network comprising a plurality of interconnected network nodes, each network node comprises a processor and a memory in which a unique identity is stored; a sensor having at least two states; and an actuator performing functions in response to received signals. The method forming a relationship between a primary network node to which a first sensor is connected and at least one secondary network node to which one or more actuators are connected to establish a link there between. The primary and secondary network nodes are one of the plurality of interconnected network nodes; storing information of the link in the memory of each secondary network node; and controlling the one or more actuators.

  • Publication number: 20100298748
Abstract: The invention discloses a cervical collar which provides support, safety and stability to the neck of the wearer, and is arranged to prevent cervical flexion, extension and bilateral lateral flexion while allowing cervical rotation. The cervical collar comprises two parts; one back piece including a shoulder and back support piece attached to an adjustable neck piece and a chin support piece. The chin support piece can be lowered, raised and/or removed by the wearer of the collar in order to allow opening of the mouth sufficiently for eating or performing personal hygiene without unwanted extension of the neck.
