Abstract: A heat protection body for a protection system for an internal wall of a furnace includes a front, a rear, and edge sides that connect the front to the rear. The heat protection body is characterized in that at its rear it comprises at least one retaining element which is made from the same material as is the heat protection body. The heat protection body can be used within a protection system for a boiler tube wall as well as in a method for installing such a protection system.

Abstract: The invention relates to a refractory body (5) for use in a protection system for the interior wall (1) of a furnace. Said body comprises a front face (7), a rear face (8) and edge faces (11, 12, 13, 14) that link the front face (7)to the rear face (7). The rear face of said refractory body (5) has at least one groove (6) for receiving a retaining element (4), said groove (6) comprising a first end face (6a) that opens onto an edge face (14) and a second end face (6b) that lies in the interior of the rear face (8). The groove (6) has a cross-section that increases from the rear face (8) towards the front face (7).
