  • Patent number: 7896850
Abstract: The present invention relates to a device for the delivery of predetermined doses of liquid medicament to a patient, which medicament is intended to be inhaled by the patient or intended to be injected into the body of the patient. The device is adapted to be in a medicament delivery state and in a medicament non-delivery state. When the device is in a medicament delivery state, said device is adapted to drive a piston into a cartridge containing the liquid medicament to be delivered, with a predetermined force value. The device is designed and arranged to ensure that the predetermined dose of medicament expelled from the cartridge has a high degree of accuracy and to show the user in a simple manner how much medicament is remaining in the cartridge after a dose or several doses has/have been expelled and at the same time offering a shorter device, which is more convenient for the user when he/she has to carry it with him/her.

  • Patent number: 7771397
Abstract: A needle cover assembly includes a manually operable member; a rigid needle shield (RNS) provided with an internally arranged resilient cap, in turn arranged to house and protect an injection needle; and a RNS remover assembly including a tubular shaped member surrounding the RNS, in which the tubular shaped member is arranged with at least one grip member capable of gripping the RNS in order to remove the RNS. The RNS remover assembly further includes a spinning attachment member having a distal end fixedly attached to the tubular shaped member and a proximal end rotatably attached to the manually operable member such that the manually operable member can be freely turned in relation to the RNS remover assembly but is locked in an axial direction.

  • Publication number: 20100186739
Abstract: The present invention relates to a device for the delivery of predetermined doses of liquid medicament to a patient, which medicament is intended to be inhaled by the patient or intended to be injected into the body of the patient. The device is adapted to be in a medicament delivery state and in a medicament non-delivery state. When the device is in a medicament delivery state, said device is adapted to drive a piston into a cartridge containing the liquid medicament to be delivered, with a force that is above or equal to a predetermined minimum force value and below a predetermined maximum force value. The minimum force value is the lowest force value needed to deliver the predetermined dose and the maximum force value is the first force value at which it exists a risk of damaging the cartridge or the components of the device. Further, more of the spring force is brought to an efficient output torque ensuring that a predetermined volume of medicament is expelled from a cartridge.

  • Publication number: 20090293870
Abstract: The present invention relates to a device to be used with a medical administration device, which administration device comprises administration drive means for administrating a prescribed dose of medicament; mechanical dose setting means for setting a prescribed dose of medicament to be administered, including a mechanical indicating member (76) fixedly connected to said administration drive means (84) for indicating the prescribed set dose, wherein said device comprises mechanical dose information means for registering the prescribed dose of medicament to be administered including a mechanical information member adjustable to display that said prescribed dose to be administered is correct, and inter-connected to said mechanical indicating member such that when the prescribed dose is set, this is indicated positively by indications on said mechanical information member.

  • Publication number: 20080210224
Abstract: The invention refers to a dose counter device for an inhaler that in a reliable way will register a delivered dose from a canister comprised in the inhaler, and that at the same time substantially will reduce the risk of falsely register a dose not delivered. Thus, the present invention will in an effective way, substantially avoid erroneous counting of delivered doses from the canister.
