  • Publication number: 20240183045
Abstract: The invention relates to an electrolysis device including a plurality of electrolysis cells which are electrically connected in series and which are arranged at least partly successively in a stacking direction in a cell stack, where the series connection can be electrically coupled to an electrical energy source. A cell supply unit for supplying at least one operating medium to the electrolysis cells in normal operation and supply lines connected to the cell supply unit and to the cell stack, where a material of the supply lines include metal. The supply lines are connected to a first end of the cell stack so that the first end of the cell stack is electrically coupled to the cell supply unit, where the first end of the cell stack can be coupled to a negative electrical potential of the electrical energy source.

  • Patent number: 11584998
Abstract: An electrolytic device and to a method for operating an electrolysis of water with at least one electrolysis cell, the electrolysis cell having an anode compartment having an anode and a cathode compartment having a cathode. The anode compartment is separated from the cathode compartment by a proton exchange membrane. The anode compartment is suitable for holding water and oxidising the water on the anode to form a first product including oxygen and the cathode compartment is suitable for holding water and reducing the water on the cathode to a second product including hydrogen. Furthermore, the electrolysis device includes a first gas precipitation device for precipitation of oxygen, the first gas precipitation device for carrying out a natural water circulation being arranged above the electrolysis cell.

  • Patent number: 11443882
Abstract: Various embodiments include a coil device for a power converter, the device comprising: a cooling plate; and a plurality N?3 of coil windings. The cooling plate is thermally coupled to at least one end face of one of the plurality of coil windings. The coil windings are spatially offset from one another by an angle of 2?/N. The cooling plate defines a cooling channel extending at least partially around each of the plurality of coil windings.

  • Patent number: 11299808
Abstract: An electrolysis unit and to a method for electrochemically decomposing water into hydrogen and oxygen. The electrolysis unit has at least two electrolysis modules. The electrolysis unit also has exactly one first gas separation device for a first product gas including oxygen and exactly one second gas separation device for a second product gas including hydrogen. The first gas separation device is connected to the at least two electrolysis modules by respective first lines. The second gas separation device is connected to the at least two electrolysis modules by respective second lines. The at least two first lines have the same first length. The at least two second lines likewise have the same second length.
