  • Publication number: 20200269389
Abstract: A grinding and/or cutting tool which has at least one surface region for a lateral grinding process and a surface region for a circumferential grinding process and/or a cutting process. The surface regions have different removal properties. The material properties of the surface regions differ in that the surface regions have different abrasive materials, grinding particle shapes, particle scattering patterns, particle sizes, degrees of hardness, structures, and/or binders. In one embodiment, the grinding and/or cutting tool has two of the surface regions for a lateral grinding process, and the two surface regions for a lateral grinding process are arranged at a distance from one another. The surface region for a circumferential grinding process or for a cutting process is arranged preferably between the two surface regions for a lateral grinding process.

  • Publication number: 20100120341
Abstract: The invention relates to a portable grinder comprising a grinding head (5) that can be placed against a workpiece (7) in a grinding contact zone (26). According to the invention, a stop (18-21) is disposed at a distance from the grinding contact zone (26). Said stop (18-21) forms an axis of rotation (27) as a swiveling axis for the grinding head (5) and as a pivot relative to at least one handle (2,3).

  • Patent number: 7713005
Abstract: The invention relates to a milling head for milling chamfers, especially for a mobile chamfer miller, comprising successive seats for blanking dies, said seats having a position in which the blanking dies with a leading edge angle of between 40 and 75° operate respectively on average with a positive effective cutting angle of at least 6° and a clearance angle of at least 6°, and are provided for a border comprising blanking dies with a staggered arrangement of the cutting edges, such that respectively only one cutting edge length of 15 mm, preferably 12 mm, at the most, is active. Said measures increase the cutting performance of the milling head. The reduced cutting edge length can be formed on a long blanking die instead of using a shorter blanking die, in such a way that the cutting edge is interrupted by cavities or other e.g. flat triangular recesses on the surface of the blanking die. The staggered arrangement is then comparatively small.

  • Publication number: 20100092261
Abstract: The milling tool (1) has a spindle (2, 3), which is mounted in a housing (8) and carries a milling head (14) fitted with cutting inserts (15). Arranged in the drive train of the milling head (14) is a torque-transmitting resilient coupling (13). The spindle (2, 3) actually comprises spindle parts (2, 3) that are connected by a plug-in connection via a bearing bush (9, 10) and can be turned with respect to each other, and the coupling (13) is arranged between these spindle parts. The resilient coupling comprises a helical spring (13) that is fastened by each of its ends to a spindle part (2, 3). The milling head (14) is fitted with sharp-edged cutting inserts (15), which have a wedge angle of 40-75° and have on the milling head (14) a position in which they operate with a positive rake angle of at least 6° and a clearance angle of at least 6°.

  • Patent number: 7252460
Abstract: Based on an indexable tip (1), which serves to bevel a cylindrical or conical milling head (12) and which has both ground cutting edges (7) as well as a bore hole (8) that extends from the free surface (2) to the supporting surface (3) of the indexable tip while provided for the passage of a fastening means (fixed plate) that has a head, and based on the ability to be reversed by turning around the indexable tip about the axis of the bore hole, the invention provides that the indexable tip also has the ability to be reversed by turning around which involves interchanging the prior supporting surface and free surface, both of these surfaces having a width between the cutting edges of greater than 5.5 mm. The ability to be reversed by turning around signifies that the indexable tip widens again from its thickness in the middle up to the supporting surface in order to form at least two other cutting edges.

  • Patent number: 6367715
Abstract: The device for forming an aerosol has a device for adjusting the amount of particle former transported by the spray jet per time unit and/or a device for adjusting the amount of compressed gas passing per time unit through the wall. Such a device can be used for fluid treatment of sensitive, easily deformable objects, especially for their cooling, or other applications requiring certain metering of the particle formation, for example, in a burner. By providing a permeable wall having pores, it is possible to produce fluid particles with minimal kinetic energy by the effect of the compressed gas flowing through the permeable wall so that at the exit side of the wall a fluid particle stream with particles having extremely low energy per particle can be produced.
