  • Publication number: 20240124049
Abstract: A steering transmission for an electro-mechanical steering system for a vehicle includes an electric motor, a servo transmission, and an angle transmission for connecting a steering column of the steering system to a control stalk of the steering system. The angle transmission is a mechanically driven recirculating-ball transmission with a ball nut, which is engaged with a segment shaft of the steering transmission that is/can be connected to the steering stalk. A spindle of the recirculating-ball transmission is continuous. The spindle is connected to an output shaft of the servo transmission on one side. The servo transmission is/can be driven by the electric motor.

  • Patent number: 11947454
Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods for controlling cache allocations in a configurable combined private and shared cache in a processor-based system. The processor-based system is configured to receive a cache allocation request to allocate a line in a share cache structure, which may further include a client identification (ID). The cache allocation request and the client ID can be compared to a sub-non-uniform memory access (NUMA) (sub-NUMA) bit mask and a client allocation bit mask to generate a cache allocation vector. The sub-NUMA bit mask may have been programmed to indicate that processing cores associated with a sub-NUMA region are available, whereas processing cores associated with other sub-NUMA regions are not available, and the client allocation bit mask may have been programmed to indicate that processing cores are available.

  • Publication number: 20240078278
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable storage media for aggregating media (and commentary on that media) into a topology. To do so, the system receives first content (and associated metadata) as well as second content (and associated metadata). The system then generates a topology based on a relationship between the first content and the second content, where the topology has a number of dimensions based on the metadata of the different pieces of content. The system then compares the topology and the metadata to previously stored topologies and/or metadata and, based on that comparison, executes a machine learning algorithm. The output of that machine learning algorithm includes predicted future changes to the topology, which the system uses to reduce the number of dimensions within the topology.

  • Publication number: 20240071183
Abstract: A payment processing method uses a credit push for completing a transaction at a terminal device. The process can include scanning an optical code at terminal device using a mobile device to determine creditor bank information. A debtor bank server receives the creditor bank information and provides a credit push request to a payment rail. The payment rail communicates a credit payment transaction request to a creditor bank sever. The creditor bank server identifies the terminal device and instructs completion of the transaction at the terminal device in an amount corresponding to the credit push request. The transaction is initiated at the terminal device. An authentication procedure for facilitating the transaction by communicating the creditor bank information is performed by the mobile device and not by the terminal device.

Abstract: A system and method for establishing a private exchange for electronic sports events includes establishing consolidated odds for one or more electronic sports events, each electronic sports event including a multi-player video game, the consolidated odds being established based on a history of each player in the multi-player video game. A method includes subscribing one or more bettors on each electronic sports event to a private betting exchange established for each of the one or more electronic sports event, and receiving a books offer to lay each private betting exchange based on the consolidated odds established for each of the one or more electronic sports event. A method includes opening a matching period to match bets submitted by each subscribed bettor for selected ones of the of one or more electronic sports events, and matching the bets based on the consolidated odds.

  • Publication number: 20180009580
Abstract: Presented are a spout assembly, bottle and a method of forming. An exemplary spout assembly includes a tubular spout, the cylindrical spout having an endless wall defining a passage, the endless wall having a top open edge fluidly connecting the passage, a bottom open edge fluidly connecting the hollow passage, and at least three vertical ribs extending inwardly from the endless wall within the passage. The spout assembly further includes a tilted trough extending from the bottom open edge circumscribing the tubular spout, the trough having at least one opening located such that fluid flow is directed toward the at least one opening. The spout assembly still further includes a cylindrical side wall extending from the tilted trough.

  • Patent number: 9699597
Abstract: Forwarding wireless signals comprises a user and a counterpart opening secure applications on a user computing device and a counterpart computing device, respectively. The user places the user computing device within range of a wireless signal, such as a wireless signal provided by a point of sale (“POS”) terminal. The user computing device forwards the wireless signal from the POS terminal to the counterpart computing device. The user computing device forwards the wireless signal from the counterpart computing device to the POS terminal. Thus, the counterpart computing device may conduct a transaction with the POS terminal as if the counterpart computing device were at the location of the POS terminal. The counterpart computing device may also receive a forwarded beacon signal comprising data, such as an offer, provided by the POS terminal or another suitable beacon transmission device at the merchant location.

  • Patent number: 6920112
Abstract: The invention provides a method and system for collecting aggregate information about network traffic, while maintaining processor load relatively constant despite substantial variation in network traffic, and capable of substantially accurate frequency measurement even for relatively infrequent events. A packet monitoring system includes an input port for receiving network packets, a sampling element for selecting a fraction of those packets for review, and a queue of selected packets. The packets in the queue are coupled to a packet-type detector for detecting packets of a selected type; the system applies a measurement technique for determining a frequency measure for those detected packets. The system includes a feedback technique for adaptively altering the sampling rate fraction, responsive to the queue length and possibly other factors, such as processor load or the detected frequency measure.
