Abstract: Provided herein are frames, packaging assemblies, and associated methods for supporting an object. The frame may include a first panel having a first distal end spaced from the first base end, and a second panel having a second distal end spaced from the second base end. The frame may further include at least one pivot axis pivotally connecting the first base end of the first panel and the second base end of the second panel, such that the first panel and the second panel may rotate relative to one another about the at least one pivot axis. A flexible support may extend between the first distal end and the second distal end, and at least one of the distal ends may pivot towards an opposing one of the distal ends in response to application of a force from an object to the flexible support.

A front panel flap fold zone (26) corresponds to the front closure flap fold line of the box. A rear panel flap fold zone (30) corresponds to the rear closure flap fold line of the box. A central panel portion (34) extends between the front and rear panel flap fold zones. Front and rear panel flaps (36, 38) extend from the front panel flap fold zone and the rear panel flap fold zone, respectively. A detachment line (40) extends from the left edge (19) to the right edge (20) of the panel in the central panel portion to delineate front and rear central panel portions (42, 44). A sheet (18) extends across the central panel portion and attaches to the panel at opposing regions of the panel outside of the central panel portion.

In one embodiment, the main portion may include a panel for supporting the article, and at least one flexible film for connecting the panel to the frame. A pair of these packaging structures may be arranged in confronting relationship within the outer container so that the article being packaged is held in place between the support panel in one packaging structure and the support panel in the other packaging structure.
