  • Publication number: 20190001869
Abstract: The invention relates to an illuminated trim for a motor vehicle with a lighting unit, especially a trim as the cover strip of a sealing strip for a window shaft of a vehicle door, which is designed such that, when assembled as intended on the vehicle a light gap is formed between the trim and the adjoining outer surface of the vehicle or in the trim, as well as the method for making such a trim. In order to achieve a uniform ambient lighting with high functional reliability, low manufacturing expense, and the lowest possible costs, it is provided that the lighting unit comprises a carrier layer and an at least partly translucent functional layer, wherein the light source is arranged on the carrier layer and the light source is covered by the functional layer applied to the carrier layer.

  • Publication number: 20100171296
Abstract: Protection devices in motor vehicles typically have a movable element, for example a roll bar (1) or a flap, which, in the initial state, is fixed in its position by a releasable holding device. In the event of a hazard, the movable element can be released under sensor control by a common pyrotechnic actuator (11) and can be deployed with the protection being activated. The protection device also has a means (8, 9) for locking the deployed, movable element. A driving pressure chamber (12, 15), which is fixed on the bodywork and in which a driving piston (2 with 13, 16) connected to the movable element is accommodated in a guided manner, is connected downstream of the pyrotechnic actuator (11).

  • Publication number: 20080122210
Abstract: The invention is based on a rollover protection system for motor vehicles that is located behind a last row of seats having a part affixed to the vehicle, and a rollover body that is triggered by a sensor to deploy to a support position from a resting position. To save installation space and still provide the maximum survival area for all passengers of an open passenger vehicle, the invention provides installing a rollover protection system in the middle area behind the last row of seats.

  • Publication number: 20070035116
Abstract: A rollover protection device includes a cassette housing which guides an extendable rollover bar. The cassette housing includes guidances for the rollover bar. The rollover bar is a single shell or multi-shell form part made of fibre reinforced plastic and has shell edge regions which at least partially extend parallel to the extension direction. The cassette housing is a hollow profile made from high strength material and is closed around the rollover bar and the guidance. The guidance is a plastic form part engaging at a shell edge region, is secured within the hollow profile and protrudes from the hollow profile at least downwards.

  • Publication number: 20060170203
Abstract: Vehicle rollover protection system with a roll bar, whose top piece is rounded in a U-shape. Such top pieces are typically tubular and are made from pipe bending parts. In order to achieve a three-dimensional contour of the top piece with irregular cross section of its profile, the invention calls for at least the tubular top piece consisting of at least two axially divided partially tubular shells of sheet metal, joined to each other and having different geometrical shapes according to a nominal contour.
