  • Patent number: 10922557
Abstract: A method for processing sensor data in a number of controllers in a controller complex. The controllers are connected to at least one sensor via at least one communication bus, wherein the sensor data of the at least one sensor are processed by at least two different controllers in stages. At least one processing stage is concordant in the two controllers or is equivalent to the other stage at least in so far as the results of the processing are converted into one another by a conversion. Provision is made for a preprocessing unit to which the sensor data of the at least one sensor are supplied, wherein the processing of the sensor data in the at least one concordant processing stage is performed in the preprocessing unit, and the processed sensor data are forwarded to the at least two different controllers for individual further processing.

  • Patent number: 10170121
Abstract: A voice recognition system having a mobile unit and an external server. The mobile unit includes a memory unit that stores voice model data having at least one expression set with expressions, a voice recognition unit, and a data interface that can set up a data-oriented connection to a data interface of the external server. The external server includes a database with event data having associated time data and expressions. The external server can, by comparing the time data associated with the event data with a current time, produce updated data that includes at least expressions associated with the event data of the database. The update data can be transmitted to the mobile unit. The update data can also be taken as a basis for adding the transmitted expressions to the expression set. Also disclosed is a method for operating a voice recognition system.

  • Publication number: 20080098113
Abstract: A system and method for balancing network traffic that includes a master node addressable by an external device, at least one slave node addressable by the master node, at least one filter running on the master node and the at least one slave node, and a clusterware application running on the master node and the at least one slave node. The clusterware application distributes the network traffic between the master node and the at least one slave node. Techniques for using the same are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 5421017
Abstract: In order to save development costs, a real time control system should offer the possibility of being upgraded or of growing by replacing software during operation. This ability is achieved in that every message for communication contains a version identifier in addition to containing a designation of the addressed software unit that is unambiguous system-wide. This version identifier indicates the version of the addressed software unit to the operating system.
