  • Patent number: 11479631
Abstract: The invention relates to a composition that contains a binary mixture of bisphenol F and propoxylated bisphenol F. The aim of the invention is to provide aromatic polyols for preparing polyurethane-based and polyisocyanurate-based polymers, which ensure good handling from a technical point of view and good miscibility with the isocyanate component and render the end product flameproof. For this purpose, the invention devises a composition, which contains a binary mixture of ethoxylated bisphenol F and propoxylated bisphenol F in a weight ratio of 20:80 to 80:20.

  • Publication number: 20220135731
Abstract: Esterified arylhydroxy compounds for the production of polyurethane or polyisocyanurate. In order to provide aromatic polyols for the production of polyurethanes or polyisocyanurates which are process-technically suitable in terms of their viscosity and at the same time give the end product good physical properties and a good reaction to fire, esterified arylhydroxy compounds are proposed as polyols.

  • Publication number: 20220041827
Abstract: The invention relates to a composition for the production of foams based on phenolic resin, use thereof, and a process for the production of the composition. For provision of a composition for the production of foams based on phenolic resin, where the said composition delivers improved reaction to fire with, in essence, no alteration of further important foam properties, it is proposed that the composition comprises an alkoxylated novolak, wherein the novolak is produced using phenol, cresol and/or xylenol.

  • Publication number: 20210277167
Abstract: The invention relates to a composition containing a novolak and water. In order to provide novolaks in a liquid preparation, which owing to their viscosity allow uncomplicated processing at temperatures of <100° C., a composition containing novolak and water is proposed, wherein a) the percentage of ortho linkages of the phenol rings of the novolak is greater than that of the para linkages and b) the novolak has been produced from a phenolic compound and an aldehyde in a molar ratio of from 1:0.2 to 1:0.45 and c) the composition contains from 2 to 20% by weight of water based on the weight of the sum of novolak and water.

  • Publication number: 20210214295
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for preparing an alkoxylated product. The aim of the invention is to provide aromatic polyols for preparing polyurethane-based and polyisocyanurate-based polymers, which ensure good miscibility with the isocyanate component and other components, have a good storage stability and render the end product flameproof. For this purpose, the invention devises a process for preparing an alkoxylated product by reacting bisphenol F with propylene carbonate and/or propylene oxide as propoxylation agent and ethylene carbonate and/or ethylene oxide as ethoxylation agent, the propoxylation agent and the ethoxylation agent being used in a molar ration of 70:30 to 45:55.

  • Patent number: 6631301
Abstract: The invention relates to an apparatus for producing products and a method of controlling such an apparatus, having a programmable logic controller—PLC—an axis control system, for controlling axes, and a visualization system for displaying processes and/or process parameters. In known apparatus of this type, the PLC, the axis control system and the visualization system are implemented in physically self-contained appliances. Linking these components requires a great deal of effort both during construction and during operation of the apparatus. The data interchange between the components requires an “overhead” in order to ensure the communication between the components. This is disadvantageous. The invention therefore seeks to improve such manufacturing apparatus and control methods in that the PLC, the axis control system and the visualization system run on a common physical appliance.
