    Abstract: A method and system for redacting digital content are disclosed. The system includes an identification server and an inspection engine. The server is configured to receive a content request originating from a user device and to identify a user account associated with the content request. The server is further configured to tag the content request with a restriction identifier which is indicative of a restriction level of a user of the user device. The engine is configured to analyse visual content forming part of digital content requested by way of the content request before the digital content is transmitted to the user device. A result of the analysis performed by the inspection engine is used to determine whether the visual content is undesirable based on the restriction parameter. If classified as undesirable, the digital content or part thereof is redacted or censored before transmission thereof to the user device.
