  • Patent number: 7077192
Abstract: A manifold for, e.g. a motor vehicle heat exchanger, has a first part formed from a shaped metal sheet and bottom and two lateral walls folded face-to-face, at least one of which is provided with an aperture for fixing a pipe there. A second part is shaped metal sheet and able to be fitted onto the lateral walls of the first part to form a cover opposite the bottom of this first part. Either the first part or the second part has a manifold plate. The first part, the second part and the pipe are assembled by brazing.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 24, 2003
Date of Patent: July 18, 2006
    Assignee: Valeo Thermique Moteur
    Inventors: Stéphane Avequin, Carlos Martins
  • Patent number: 6899167
Abstract: A heat-exchange module has a main exchanger and at least one secondary exchanger, each having a body with fluid-circulation tubes, and cooling fins, the secondary exchanger being fixed onto the main exchanger. The module includes a set of fins common to the main exchanger and to at least one secondary exchanger, these fins being mounted on the tubes of the main exchanger and projecting from this exchanger, the projecting parts of the fins including cut-outs for accommodating the tubes of the secondary exchanger. Fastenings secure the secondary exchanger in the position in which its tubes are engaged in the cut-outs.

  • Patent number: 6382312
Abstract: A heat-exchange module has a main exchanger and at least one secondary exchanger, each including a body with fluid-circulation tubes and with a clipping device for fixing the secondary exchanger onto the main exchanger so that the same airflow can pass through the bodies of the exchangers. The clipping device has at least one comb-shaped component including a fitting device for fitting onto a first of the exchangers, and at least one first row of teeth having between them, pair by pair, a gap of a shape corresponding to the cross section of the fluid-circulation tubes of the second of the exchangers, so as to clip the body of this second exchanger onto the comb-shaped component.

  • Patent number: 6301926
Abstract: A reservoir is screwed axially into a base, itself brazed to a collecting compartment of the condenser. It is linked to the former by means of channels recessed into the base. The threads securing the reservoir are protected from any contact with the refrigerating fluid by sealing rings and from external attack by a sleeve covering the outside of the junction area between the reservoir and the base. Applied to air-conditioning application for automobile passenger compartments.
