The helmet further has a primary visor removably and pivotally connected to the primary visor connector and adapted to pivot about a primary pivot axis.

The visor has an inner surface facing a cavity of the helmet shell and an outer surface, and is provided with a heating system. The visor assembly further has a connection assembly including an electrical connector located on the outer surface of the visor proximate a front portion thereof. The electrical connector is operatively connected to the heating system and is adapted to be connected to a power cable for providing electrical power to the heating system. The visor assembly also includes a cable retaining element located on the outer surface of the visor proximate one of the visor mounting sections. The cable retaining element has a clip adapted to removably attach the power cable on the visor.

The composite structure further includes at least one core disposed within the longitudinal cavity. The core is positioned with the core edge adjacent the at least one edge with the first surface contacting the first composite skin and the second surface contacting the second composite skin.

The flexible member has a channel extending along the visor interface having a substantially V-shaped cross-section configured to allow the flexible member to be deformed when raising the visor.

Abstract: A helmet having a movable and openable jaw shield is disclosed. The movable jaw shield is pivotable about a hinge located on the front of the helmet chin bar. The movable jaw shield in open configuration clears the space in front of the user's mouth to facilitate communications from the user. Preferably, the movable jaw shield may also be detached from the pivot to be removed or interchanged. The movable jaw shield is suited with a breath guard configured to mate with a protrusion on the lower front portion of goggles frames. The mating of the goggles and breath guard preferably substantially prevent environmental foreign materials from entering between the breath guard and goggles.

Abstract: A helmet is disclosed that includes a hinged chin guard and a hinged visor. The chin guard and the visor can each be independently raised or they can be raised together. That is, they can be rotated up and from in front of the face of a wearer of the helmet. A one-button release mechanism is provided on the chin guard to release detents that secure the chin guard to the cap body. The chin guard can lock into place when raised or lowered. The chin guard is adapted to rotate in a substantially elliptical trajectory about the sides and top of the cap body. The visor can be rotated through a series of ratchet positions and be removed from the helmet without tools and without removing the chin guard.
