  • Publication number: 20060177070
Abstract: The invention relates to a sound-reproducing transducer (60) connected to a printed circuit (50). This transducer (60) has the shape of a hollow cylinder whose cylindrical wall (66) delimits two circular faces, one front face (66c) and one rear face (66d) that are opposed and planar. The transducer (60) comprises at least one diaphragm (64) that makes it possible to convert electric signals into sound waves and conversely. This diaphragm (64) is a circular membrane parallel to the front face (66c) and rear face (66d) of the transducer (60). The diaphragm (64) delimits two distinct volumes in the transducer (60), the first volume being bordered on one side by the circular face (66c) of the transducer (60) and on the other by the diaphragm (64) while forming a front acoustic cavity (61), and the second volume being bordered on one side by the circular face (66d) of the transducer (60) and on the other by the diaphragm (64) while forming a rear acoustic cavity (62).

  • Publication number: 20030068987
Abstract: A structural arrangement for a wireless communication terminal includes a case in which are disposed a sound transducer and a patch planar antenna connected to a printed circuit. The transducer has an electrically neutral portion comprising a vibrating membrane and an electrically conductive portion. The antenna incorporates a cavity delimited by a ground plane and a conductive patch disposed on a dielectric support. The electrically neutral portion of the sound transducer is situated in the cavity of the antenna. The electrically conductive portion of the sound transducer constitutes a portion of the ground plane of the antenna.

  • Publication number: 20020136398
Abstract: To amplify low frequencies emitted in handsfree mode by a multifunction earpiece (earpiece, loudspeaker, buzzer) of a telephone handset, the earpiece being tolerant to leaks in a discreet mode of operation, a tube projects into a cavity in the casing of the handset, around an aperture through which the cavity communicates with the exterior of the casing. The handset thus includes a multifunction earpiece that is tolerant of leaks in a discreet mode of operation and provides good sound quality in handsfree mode.

  • Patent number: 5953414
Abstract: A telephone handset includes a housing containing an earpiece part including a piezo-electric disk joined to an electrically conductive support disk, the edge of the support disk being clamped between two holding parts and separating a rear volume from a front volume. The rear volume is delimited by the combination of the piezo-electric disk and its support disk and by a rear wall facing this combination and a circular lateral wall, the rear wall and the lateral wall constituting a rear part with micro-leaks to constitute with the rear volume an acoustic damper device. The front volume, on the other side of the aforementioned combination constitutes, with holes in a wall of the front volume facing the latter combination, a Helmoltz resonator. The housing further contains a board supporting electronic components in direct contact with the rear wall of the rear volume.
