    Abstract: A protective structure for protecting a motor vehicle against impacts and penetration of debris is provided. The protective structure includes a protective plate and a protective cover at least indirectly connected to the protective plate and covers a portion of the floor and/or a portion of the wheel wells of the vehicle to ensure safety of occupants from injuries in case of collision with a debris. The protective plate is a structural member and the protective cover is a sacrificial member, where the protective cover is not fully constrained relative to the protective plate so that a movement of the protective cover relative to the protective plate is possible during such collision. The protective cover can move transversely the protective plate. The protective plate and the protective cover can be separated from each other by a gap that allows the protective cover to deform before abutting the protective plate.

The housings sit on a divider sheet which has arrays of openings aligned with the housings allowing the liquid to pass from the manifold under little or no pressure so that the liquid flows through the housings by convection and stratifies to generate a layer of heated liquid above the open tops of the housings which can be tapped off to a heat exchanger. A heat pump acts on the cooling liquid to transfer heat to a heat transfer liquid which can be further heated by a boiler and transferred to existing heat dissipating loads.

A first algorithm generates guidance to avoid encounters with sensed airborne aircrafts. A second algorithm generates guidance to avoid encounters with sensed non-aircraft airborne obstacles and ground obstacles. The second algorithm sends inhibiting information to the first algorithm in a feedback loop based on the position of sensed non-aircraft objects. The first algorithm considers this inhibiting information when generating avoidance guidance regarding airborne aircrafts.

The cubing process requires 40% less energy based on throughput of finished product, thus making the material more affordable to larger farming operations. Some other properties include a higher bulk density than large conventional bales or wood shavings, less dust when applying, a pasteurized product, easier to handle and spread compared to straw bales, wood shavings and sawdust.
