  • Publication number: 20230056585
Abstract: Disclosed is a surgical device for soft tissue repair, including: a flexible anchor consisting of a textile braid forming a first arm and a second arm extending distally away from a vertex area; and at least one suture thread having a median portion placed near the vertex area and two strands passing through the braid transversely at several sites. The first strand passes through the braid alternately at two sites adjacent to the first arm and at two sites adjacent to the second arm, the sites passed through in sequence on the same arm moving away from the vertex zone. The second strand passes through the braid at least at two sites of the second arm, the sites passed through in sequence moving away from the vertex zone. The device is inserted into a hole made in a bone and assumes a compressed configuration after insertion.

  • Publication number: 20160158409
Abstract: Calcium phosphate-based formulation for bone filling, comprising at least one adjuvant giving adhesion properties, wherein the at least one adjuvant is selected from the saccharide head surfactant group. The bone cement is characterized by adhesive properties particularly advantageous facilitating the setting of the cement and offering a better containment of the bone-cement or bone-cement-prosthesis interface.

  • Publication number: 20090028949
Abstract: The present invention relates to a calcium phosphate-based formulation for bone filling, comprising at least one adjuvant giving adhesion properties, said at least one adjuvant can be selected from the sugar and sugar derivative group. The bone cement described in the present invention is characterised by adhesive and swelling properties particularly advantageous, improving dispersion of the biomaterial in the cavities to be filled and facilitating osteointegration.

  • Patent number: 6923989
Abstract: A method for preparing a calcium phosphate pasty material for injection which after, setting, is designed to form an apatite material consists in: producing from water and calcium phosphates pasty mixture capable of developing, hardening and forming a hydroxyapatite. The method is characterised in that it consists in adding to the calcic phosphates or to the pasty mixture before it is injected a methicone having relative to the mixture more than 0.30 wt. % and less than 10 wt. %. The resulting material can be injected, that is it can be transported in pasty form into a conduit under moderate pressure levels. The material sets on the site of implantation and hardens to form an apatite biomaterial in a manner similar to known methicone-free calcium phosphate mixtures.
