  • Publication number: 20240345241
Abstract: The positioning system (9) comprises a device (10) and a plurality of fixed bases (12), which comprise a counter cyclically browsing n pointer positions. The device comprises an emitter configured to emit a request comprising at least one point pattern whose values read with the pointer modulate a carrier. Each receiving base emits a response: a) repeating the pattern received by the base from the device; and/or b) representative of a first temporal pattern offset, measured by the base, between the pattern received and an identical pattern stored in the memory of the base.

  • Publication number: 20190113471
Abstract: The invention relates to a method (100) for determining the depth of a crack in a solid, which includes: a step (105) of determining at least one speed for scanning a surface of the solid comprising the crack by a positioned heat source; for every speed determined: a step (110) of scanning a portion of the surface of the solid, parallel to the general direction of the crack, by the heat source at said speed; and a step (115), synchronous with the scanning step, of detecting at least one value of a physical quantity representing the local heating of the surface of the scanned solid; and a step (120) of determining the depth of the crack as a function of at least one value detected at least at one predetermined scanning speed.

  • Publication number: 20180003847
Abstract: Disclosed is a capacitive sensor (100) for locating the presence of an individual and/or of an object, the sensor (100) including:—a first layer (C1) including at least one first electrode (E1i, i?[1,N]) extending in a first direction (d1);—a second layer (C2) having at least one second electrode (E2j, j?[1,M]) extending in a second direction (d2); in which the first direction (d1) is different from the second direction (d2), and in which the first layer (C1) is electrically insulated from the second layer (C2).

  • Patent number: 9286780
Abstract: A smoke detector includes a drift chamber and an ionization chamber formed by a first electrode and a second electrode. Electric charges are generated by ionization of the air. The drift chamber separated from the ionization chamber by the second electrode. The smoke particles penetrates from the environment to a detector inside the drift chamber. The electrical potential of first electrode exceeds a critical electric potential value for generating a corona discharge in the vicinity of the first electrode. The second electrode has openings for the electric charges generated in the ionization chamber to move to the drift chamber. The electric potential of the second electrode allows the electric charges in the drift chamber to move from the second electrode to the third electrode. The electric field between the second and third electrodes is at least 100 times weaker than the electric field between the first and second electrodes.

  • Patent number: 7839271
Abstract: The invention concerns a driving aid system for supplying data to a vehicle running on an infrastructure, and comprising a magnetic marking formed on the infrastructure and adapted to encode data addressed to the vehicle, the data being modifiable, and a detection device comprising a plurality of magnetic sensors onboard the vehicle for detecting a total magnetic field including the magnetic field generated by the magnetic marking and for producing signals representing the total magnetic field, and a processing unit adapted to process the representative signals, and to determine a first distance between the vehicle and the magnetic marking, and to decode the data encoded on the magnetic marking.
