Abstract: Methods and systems for providing media optimization are described. In one embodiment, a method for providing media optimization involves hosting a webpage at a content source, where the webpage contains media content and an instruction for optimizing the media content using an access network, receiving a request for the webpage at the content source from an end-user device, and sending the media content from the content source to the end-user device through the access network where the media content is optimized according to a technique specified in the instruction. Other embodiments are also described.

Abstract: Methods and systems for providing a zero rating service to an end-user device are described. In one embodiment, a method for providing a zero rating service to an end-user device involves redirecting a request that is directed to a third party URL from an end-user device to a zero rating URL and performing a URL transformation in response to the redirected request.
