  • Patent number: 7742938
Abstract: A method and system to evaluate the maintenance costs of products, having learning and application phases. Each phase is divided into two steps. The first analyzes product characteristics. The second is based on maintenance agreement conditions. During the first step of the learning phase, a first maintenance cost is estimated over the domain of a first variable representing product characteristics. Correction coefficients, based on other product characteristics, may be estimated to improve the first maintenance cost estimation. During the second step new correction coefficients are estimated according to maintenance agreement conditions. During the application phase, a first maintenance cost estimation is done according to the modality of the first variable, and adjusted depending on other product characteristics and maintenance agreement conditions.

  • Patent number: 7546273
Abstract: A method and system to evaluate residual value of leased products, comprising a learning phase and an application phase. Each phase has two steps. The first consists in analyzing lease or product main parameter while the second uses other lease conditions or product characteristics. Analysis is based on a grid wherein several specific points are determined during the learning phase. An extrapolation of these points according to the parameters during the application phase gives a first approximation of residual value, which is adjusted using lease conditions or product characteristics. During the learning phase, the system determines the relevant lease conditions or product characteristics and the associated corrections used during the application phase.

  • Patent number: 7487107
Abstract: A system and a method for selecting potential purchasers from a historical collection of confirmed purchasers. The method allows definition of a set of purchasing variables in relation to the confirmed purchasers, and computation of both a plurality of re-purchasing ratios and a plurality of purchasing amounts using the set of purchasing variables. Potential purchasing amounts are generated by combining the previous results.

  • Patent number: 7181423
Abstract: A system and method for analyzing the characteristics of sub-time periods of a time period over which a change of trend of a price evolution of a plurality of stock options occurs is disclosed. The system comprises means for storing data representative of the price evolution of the plurality of stock options and means for aggregating the data associated with each stock option and for creating for each stock option a standard description of the stock option's price for each sub-time period. Each standard description generated is converted into a candlestick pattern being chosen among a predetermined typology of a plurality of candlestick patterns. For each stock option, each standard description of a current sub-time period is also compared to the standard description of a previous sub-time period, and a comparison code chosen among a predetermined typology of a plurality of comparison codes is allocated to each comparison.
