Patent number: 11837813Abstract: A multipole electrical plug-in connector includes a plug-in connector housing and a mounting block. The plug-in connector housing has a housing base that extends perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the plug-in connector housing. The housing base has insertion openings. Contact elements are respectively inserted through the housing base insertion openings. Each contact element has a contact portion that is connectable to a mating plug-in connector, a press-in portion, with a fir tree profile, that is pressed into the housing base insertion opening in which the contact element is inserted through, and a connection portion for connecting an electrical connection line. Each contact element further has a retaining portion between the press-in portion and the connection portion. The retaining portions of the contact elements are inter-lockingly fastened in the mounting block. A method for producing a multipole electrical plug-in connector of this type is provided.Type: GrantFiled: September 15, 2021Date of Patent: December 5, 2023Assignee: KOSTAL Kontakt Systeme GmbHInventors: Thomas Scherer, Dennis Gazke, Stephane Michaud, Andreas Scheib

Patent number: 11300307Abstract: A damper control assembly includes a damper body movable between a first threshold position and a second threshold position. A motor is operably connected to the damper body, wherein the motor drives the damper between the first threshold position to determine an open position and the second threshold position to determine a closed position. A controller is operably connected to the motor and has a stall detection module that detects a first rotor-lock condition when the motor drives the damper body to the first threshold position and a second rotor-lock condition when the motor drives the damper body to the second threshold position. The controller includes a memory module for storing the first and second threshold positions for use by the controller. The damper control assembly is calibrated to drive the damper body within an operating range having the open and closed positions and that is less extensive than a mechanical range defined by the first and second threshold positions.Type: GrantFiled: January 8, 2019Date of Patent: April 12, 2022Assignee: Broan-NuTone LLCInventors: Stephane Michaud, Frederic Bazin, Simon Blanchard

Patent number: 7350333Abstract: A brake device (1) is for use with a cable-operated door (3), such as garage doors (3) and the like. The device (1) is intended to reduce the risk of the door (3) falling, or at the very least slow down its descent, in the event of a failure in the counterbalancing mechanism of the door (3), which is generally represented by a loss of tension in a given tensioned cable (5) operating the door (3). The brake device (1) includes a support bracket (9), and a guiding assembly (15) and a braking assembly (17) mounted onto the support bracket (9).Type: GrantFiled: February 22, 2005Date of Patent: April 1, 2008Assignee: Canimex Inc.Inventors: Stephane Michaud, Pascal Provencher, Pierre-Louis Foucault

Publication number: 20080023603Abstract: A brake device for a cable-operated door operated by a tension cable, being mountable onto the cable-operated door and configured for cooperating with the tension cable so as to immobilize the cable-operated door with respect to the fixed structure by means of a braking arm in the event of a loss of tension in the cable, the brake device being improved in that it is provided with an anti-theft mechanism including a catcher assembly and a protrusion operatively projecting from the braking arm. The catcher assembly is operatively connectable to the fixed structure and the protrusion is shaped, positioned and sized with respect to the catcher assembly so as to be engaged with the catcher assembly when the braking arm is operated into the engaged configuration caused by a given loss of tension in the cable, thereby preventing the cable-operated door from being displaced upwardly along the fixed structure as a result of the catcher assembly abutting against the protrusion of the braking arm.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 8, 2007Publication date: January 31, 2008Applicant: CANIMEX INC.Inventor: Stephane Michaud
