  • Publication number: 20080132591
Abstract: A method of producing a thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) compound including a polyurethane powder comprising microcellular polyurethane (MCU). The method minimizes discarding scrap MCU, reduces the cost of TPU articles by introducing a partial replacement for the TPU resin, and reduces injection-molding times to produce TPU articles. The TPU compound including polyurethane powder has superior melt temperature and compression set properties as compared to TPU compounds of similar Shore hardness that are free of the polyurethane powder. The invention also provides a TPU article including the TPU compound and a method of recycling a MCU foam.

  • Patent number: 7027799
Abstract: A home Message Center (MC) in a telecommunications network is capable of receiving a short message, the short message being originated by an A-subscriber and destined to a B-subscriber, and determines that prepaid charging is applicable for the short message for at least one of the A-subscriber and the B-subscriber. A PrePaid Charging Service Control Point (PPC SCP) is connected to the home MC and is responsible of prepaid accounting for the at least one of the A-subscriber and the B-subscriber. The home MC sends to a PPC SCP an indication for notifying the PPC SCP that prepaid charging is applicable for the short message for the at least one of the A-subscriber and the B-subscriber, and based on the indication, the PPC SCP charges a prepaid account of the at least one of the A-subscriber and the B-subscriber for the short message.

  • Publication number: 20060009670
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for conversion of a gasoline-range hydrocarbon feed into a gasoline fraction with a higher octane rating than that of the feedstream, and a gasoil fraction with a cetane number higher than 45, including the following steps: a) a membrane separation step (B) applied to the hydrocarbon feed under conditions enabling selective separation of the majority of the linear olefins present in said feed and constituting the ? fraction, the fraction containing the majority of the branched olefins, termed the ? fraction, constituting a gasoline with a high octane rating, greater than that of the feed, b) an oligomerisation step (C) applied to the linear olefins (? fraction) contained in the effluent stream from the membrane separation step (B) under moderate oligomerisation conditions, c) a distillation separation step (D) applied to the effluent stream arising from the oligomerisation step in at least two fractions, d) a hydrogenation step (E) applied to one of the fractions obtained at

  • Patent number: 6970693
Abstract: A method and system for providing alternative prepaid service when a serving Packet Data Service Node (PDSN) does not support prepaid or at least the type of prepaid (duration-based or volume-based) the user has subscribed to. The serving PDSN sends an access request to a Home Authorization, Authentication & Accounting Prepaid Server (HAAA/PPS) with an indication of its capability to support prepaid service and to terminate sessions based on requests from remote nodes. When the serving PDSN is neither capable of prepaid service, nor does it support session termination by a remote node, the HAAA/PPS determines that a prepaid session is allowed and supported in combination with a Home Agent (HA) for duration-based prepaid service. When the PDSN is not prepaid capable but supports session termination capability, the HAAA/PPS determines that any type of prepaid service can be allowed and supported by the HAAA/PPS in combination with the HA.

  • Patent number: 6941896
Abstract: An animal feces collection device includes a tube having distal and proximal end portions defining a path therebetween, a flap coupled to the proximal end portion, a mechanism for pivoting the flap between open and closed positions and a scooping section for collecting animal feces. The pivoting mechanism preferably includes a push button and an elongated arm pivotally connected to the flap and the lower portion of the push button. The scooping section is secured to the proximal end portion of the tube for directing feces rearwardly therethrough when the flap is raised to an open position. The device further includes a reservoir for receiving and storing collected feces and a mechanism for removably attaching the reservoir to the tube.

  • Patent number: 6584312
Abstract: A system, method, and apparatus for providing subscriber services to a mobile terminal are provided. The mobile switching centers (MSCs) transmit an MSC capabilities message which informs the Home Location Register (HLR) of the services the MSC supports. When a mobile terminal roams to a particular MSC, the HLR compares the subscriber profile and the MSC capabilities message to determine whether the MSC can support a particular subscriber service. Where the MSC cannot support a particular subscriber service, the HLR determines a comparable service which the MSC does support and modifies a copy of the subscriber profile to include the comparable service as a replacement for the subscriber service that is not supported.

  • Patent number: 5408348
Abstract: A system for re-establishing the transmission quality of a digital information transmission link including amplifier equipments in the event of failure of one or more amplifier equipments includes, associated with at least one of the amplifier equipments, a gain control device for varying the gain of the amplifier equipment in order to compensate for deterioration of the receive signal-to-noise ratio following failure of at least one other amplifier equipment. An error corrector coder at the send end of the link operates on the digital information to be transmitted and an error corrector decoder at the receive end of the link operates on the received digital information. The error corrector code used by the error corrector coder and decoder reduces or eliminate residual errors at the receiving end associated with residual deterioration of the receive signal-to-noise ratio not compensated by varying the gain.
