  • Publication number: 20220218049
Abstract: A thumb protector is provided which is engageable with a cast formed upon the hand of a patient. A body of the thumb protector has a ring portion defining an opening for a thumb of a patient wearing the cast. A surrounding portion is positionable to a sandwiched engagement between fabric wrapped around the hand and forearm of the patient and the arm and hand. An engagement point of the ring portion to the surrounding portion forms an anchor for the wrapped fabric to prevent slippage thereof once the cast is formed.

  • Patent number: 9931524
Abstract: A metallic effect pigment with an additive, the additive being applied on at least a portion of the metallic effect pigment. The additive comprises, as structural units, at least one carboxylic acid having at least 4 carbon atoms and also at least one polyglycol ether. The carboxylic acid and the polyglycol ether are bonded covalently to one another. The disclosure is also directed to a method for producing these metallic effect pigments, and to the use thereof, as well as to a printing ink comprising the pigments.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 28, 2009
Date of Patent: April 3, 2018
    Assignee: ECKART GMBH

  • Patent number: 6927202
Abstract: A concentrated, aqueous fabric softening composition comprises (a) an ester-linked quaternary ammonium fabric softening material comprising at least one mono-ester linked component and at least one tri-ester linked component, the material being derived from fatty groups having an iodine value of from 0 to 3 and (b) an ester-linked quaternary ammonium fabric softening material comprising at least one mono-ester linked component and at least one tri-ester linked component, the material being derived from fatty groups having an iodine value of from 20 to 140 wherein the total amount of unsaturated monoester component of material (b) is from 4 to 20% by weight of the total amount of (a) and (b).

  • Patent number: 6727220
Abstract: The invention provides a fabric softening composition comprising: i) at least one nonionic fabric, and ii) at least one anionic surfactant, and iii) at least one cationic polymer wherein the particles formed from i), ii) and iii) have a net negative charge and the composition comprises no more than 1% by weight non-polymeric cationic surfactant and/or cationic fabric softening compounds. The compositions give good fabric softening without decreasing absorbency, and deposit well without being detrimentally affected by anionic carry-over from the wash. Also provided is a method of depositing a nonionic fabric softening agent from a fabric softening composition, comprising emulsifying the agent with an anionic surfactant and a cationic polymer or emulsifying the agent with an anionic surfactant and then post-dosing an aqueous solution of a cationic polymer to form a particle having an overall negative charge and treating fabric therewith.
