  • Publication number: 20230300735
Abstract: A method for access by a communication device to a network connectivity provided by a third party via an operator network. The method includes: sending, to a management device, a request for attachment to the operator network, including an identifier of the third-party; receiving, from the management device, a message containing contact information of a software control gateway controlling access to a network slice allocated by the operator to the third party and associated with the third party identifier, the contact information including a reachability address of the software control gateway or an identifier of the network slice to which access is controlled by the software control gateway, the message inviting the communication device to attach to the software control gateway; requesting attachment to the software control gateway using the contact information; and accessing to the network connectivity via the slice of the operator network allocated to the third party.

  • Patent number: 11722955
Abstract: A management method that allows a communication device to benefit from a network connectivity provided by a third party via the operator network. The method includes: receiving, from the communication device, a request for attachment to the operator network and an identifier of the third party; obtaining, using the identifier of the third party, contact information of a software control gateway instantiated for controlling access to a network slice allocated by the operator to the third party, this contact information including a reachability address of the software control gateway or an identifier of the network slice allocated to the third party and access to which is controlled by the software control gateway; and sending a message to the device containing the contact information and inviting the communication device to attach to the software control gateway using this contact information.

  • Publication number: 20200053143
Abstract: A multimedia flow marking device. The device is configured to perform acts including: after receiving a multimedia flow generated by a computer application executed by the device, identifying the computer application by using an application identifier; consulting a database indicating which computer applications should be subjected to a marking and what the computer application/marking value pairs are; and packaging the multimedia flow in the form of data packets marked as a result. Application for web browsers for personal computers, and operating systems for mobile terminals or connected objects.

  • Patent number: 9077722
Abstract: A method of regulating traffic in a telecommunications network, including the following steps: after the network receives an initial registration request, and if the network is capable of processing said initial registration request, it prescribes for the terminal that sent the request a registration refresh period randomly selected from a range defined by a predetermined minimum value (PREImin) and a predetermined maximum value (PREImax), and after the network receives a registration refresh request, it prescribes for the terminal that sent the request a registration refresh period equal to the value (PRE) provided for normal operation of the network.

  • Patent number: 8873386
Abstract: A method of regulating traffic in a telecommunications network, including a first step of detecting a fault affecting a node or a link of the network. The second step below is then executed: the nodes located immediately upstream of said node/link that experienced the fault forward to the latter the registration requests sent by users of the network, to the extent that the throughput of said registration requests is below a predetermined clipping threshold associated with the registration requests; if the throughput of registration requests exceeds said clipping threshold, the excess requests are not forwarded to the node/link that experienced the fault, and the network sends to each user that sent a request refused in this way, a response prompting that user to observe a time-out period, said response specifying the recommended duration of said time-out period. Application in particular to IP networks using SIP signaling protocols.

  • Patent number: 8792344
Abstract: A signaling management method for managing signaling in a telecommunications network, in which, in normal operation, access equipment (21) of said network specifies a registration refresh period P to a terminal (10, 11). According to the invention, after said access equipment (21) has detected a fault affecting the network core (22) and then the access equipment (21) has received a registration refresh request from said terminal (10, 11), the access equipment (21): determines the duration R that remains for the registration in the network core (22) for the terminal (10, 11), and also determines the actual refresh period Q as implemented by the terminal (10, 11) in response to the access equipment (21) specifying thereto a refresh period equal to P; and in the event that R?Q, the access equipment (21) sends registration confirmation to the terminal (10, 11) without relaying said request to the network core (22).

  • Publication number: 20080279116
Abstract: A method of obtaining configuration data for a terminal using the DHCP protocol. The method includes inserting optional data including an identifier into a predefined option field of a DHCP request sent by a DHCP client module to obtain configuration data, directly or indirectly, with a single user of the terminal, to obtain configuration data customized for the user.

  • Publication number: 20070086352
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of monitoring multimedia stream exchange session initialization messages transmitted in packet mode via a monitoring server over a network between a sender terminal and one or more receiver terminals. Said method comprises a step (50) of estimating a bit rate value for at least one initialization packet received by the monitoring server, a step (52) of comparing said value to a maximum authorized bit rate value, and a step (40) of authorizing transmission of the initialization packet only if the bit rate value for said packet does not exceed the maximum authorized bit rate value. The estimated bit rate value is optionally an average value that is measured over a sliding time window. The invention also relates to a server and an installation for carrying out the method of the invention.
