Abstract: A method and system for monitoring and reporting backup results, comprising a plurality of customer servers under the control of an administrator, through a data transmission network, is disclosed. The customer servers have data which are to be saved at predefined times by running backup jobs, with the execution of each backup job resulting in a result report which is monitored by the administrator. The system comprises a backup reporting server connected to the data transmission network and to which all result reports are forwarded from the plurality of customer servers. The backup reporting server includes a system for building a table of the results which can be read by the administrator.
