Patent number: 11138273Abstract: Methods, computer program products, and systems are presented. The methods include, for instance: generating an onboarding document specifying an interaction event based on a document specifying the interaction event and an implementation guide between a pair of partners. The interaction event is cognitively analyzed for accuracy and the implementation guide is updated based on reinforced machine learning for optimized onboarding of following interactions.Type: GrantFiled: August 15, 2017Date of Patent: October 5, 2021Assignee: INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS MACHINES CORPORATIONInventors: Sunil Dandamudi, Stephanie A. Patent number: 10599610Abstract: Through analysis of content of a received electronic data interchange (EDI) instance document, an EDI standard and syntax formatting of encoded hierarchical envelopes of the EDI instance document that each package a portion of payload data within the received EDI instance document are determined. An EDI reception processing sequence definition that encodes a hierarchical EDI reception processing rule sequence is configured, that is usable to partition the encoded hierarchical envelopes and to invoke processing of the payload data packaged within the encoded hierarchical envelopes, in accordance with the determined EDI standard and syntax formatting of the encoded hierarchical envelopes.Type: GrantFiled: November 29, 2016Date of Patent: March 24, 2020Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Michael R. Conners, Fredrick W. Fahrenback, Stephanie A. Fetzer, Michael J. Hudson

Patent number: 10515448Abstract: The present disclosure relates to techniques for predicting a genetically based trait using handprints. In one embodiment, a method generally includes receiving a digital image of a person's handprint. A computing device extracts features from the digital image using at least one feature-extraction technique and inputs the features into a machine-learning model trained to predict at least one genetically based trait when such features are received as input. The machine-learning model predicts whether the user has one or more genetically based traits based on the values of the features. The computing device then sends the prediction to an application that presents the prediction to the user.Type: GrantFiled: September 20, 2016Date of Patent: December 24, 2019Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventor: Stephanie A. Patent number: 9542367Abstract: In response to reception of an electronic data interchange (EDI) instance document, a determination is made that a hierarchical EDI reception processing rule sequence, useable to partition encoded hierarchical envelopes of the EDI instance document and to invoke processing of payload data packaged within the encoded hierarchical envelopes, has not been configured. Through analysis of content of the EDI instance document, an EDI standard and syntax formatting of the encoded hierarchical envelopes that package the payload data within the EDI instance document are determined. An EDI reception processing sequence definition that encodes the hierarchical EDI reception processing rule sequence is configured that is usable to partition the encoded hierarchical envelopes of the EDI instance document and to invoke the processing of the payload data packaged within the encoded hierarchical envelopes.Type: GrantFiled: April 24, 2015Date of Patent: January 10, 2017Assignee: INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS MACHINES CORPORATIONInventors: Michael R. Patent number: 8875013Abstract: A validation sequence for an XML document can be identified. The validation sequence can include a set of validation elements. At least one validation pass can be performed for the XML document. Each validation pass can correspond to one of the validation elements. Each validation pass can be configured to validate the XML document for at least one condition defined by the validation element. A validation element result can be produced for each performed validation pass. A validation element result that indicates the XML document is invalid can cause an immediate ending of activities related to the validation sequence, which determines the XML document in general to be invalid. A validation element result that indicates the XML document is valid causes a validation pass to be performed for another one of the validation elements unless each validation element in the validation sequence has been processed.Type: GrantFiled: March 25, 2008Date of Patent: October 28, 2014Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventor: Stephanie A. Patent number: 7765465Abstract: An interface for reporting electronic data interchange (EDI) results can include an EDI report section and an EDI source section. The EDI report section can interactively present EDI reports for EDI source data. The EDI source section can interactively present EDI source data for which one of the EDI reports has been generated. The EDI reports and the EDI source data can be markup based documents. Each EDI report rendered within the EDI report section can include one or more hyperlinks. Each rendered hyperlinks can be mapped to a designated portion of the EDI source data.Type: GrantFiled: May 5, 2006Date of Patent: July 27, 2010Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventor: Stephanie A.
