Abstract: To provide a method for the manufacture of rod-shaped components with one or more functional elements from a thermoplastic resin material, the length of the rod-shaped components being optionally variable, it is proposed that the method comprise the steps of producing in an extrusion process a blank having dimensions corresponding substantially to the rod-shaped component, and reshaping a portion of the blank to create a prescribed cross-sectional change by means of agglomeration of material in this portion, thereby to form the component with a functional element, the portion being heated prior to or during the reshaping to a reshaping temperature lying between the glass transition point and the melting point or softening point of the resin material.

Abstract: A power generation system includes a first gas turbine system. The first turbine system includes a first combustion chamber configured to combust a first fuel stream of primarily hydrogen that is substantially free of carbon-based fuels, a first compressor configured to supply a first portion of compressed oxidant to the first combustion chamber and a first turbine configured to receive a first discharge from the first combustion chamber and generate a first exhaust and electrical energy. The power generation system further includes a second gas turbine system. The second turbine system includes a second combustion chamber configured to combust a second fuel stream to generate a second discharge, wherein the first compressor of the first gas turbine system is configured to supply a second portion of compressed oxidant to the second combustion chamber and a second turbine configured to receive the second discharge from the second combustion chamber to generate a second exhaust and electrical energy.

Abstract: A cordless telephone is accommodated in a casing having a base and a lid movable relative thereto, between which a storage space for the telephone is formed. The casing is provided with one or several attachments connected to the telephone such as a spare battery, a battery charging device, one or several connectors for electrically connecting the telephone, an answering machine, a modem, a computer, interface means for connection to an external computer, or an audio amplifier with a microphone and a loudspeaker.
