Abstract: A system for organizing, editing, and processing signage and other wayfinding elements in response to relocations, expansions, renovations, and standard maintenance is provided. At the core of the system is a structured database that holds all the wayfinding logic and content for a facility. A user can manage multiple and overlapping projects paralleled with construction schedules. Computer-aided Design (CAD) files can-be linked to the system and wayfinding information overlaid on the plans. The user can generate timelines, message schedules, work orders, sign location plans, and through automated scripts, generate Encapsulated PostScript (EPS) files for sign production. After installation, the user can field-verify signs by generating fieldbooks from the system. The present invention also communicates accurate and useful wayfinding information, such as point-to-point directions, to visitors to the facility.
