When and order is received to purchase the product/service, the current number of orders is incremented. When the current number of orders equals or exceeds the target number of orders, the current price is updated with the target price. When the current number of orders equals or exceeds the target number of orders, the target price is updated with a new reduced target price. The user may be provided with an animation configured to indicate a relationship between the current number of orders and the target number of orders. A timer can optionally be used to establish a time period during which the product/service is available for sale.
