    Abstract: Various techniques are provided to combine visible and thermal image data. In one example, a method includes receiving visible image data and thermal image data for a scene. The method also includes extracting high spatial frequency content from the visible image data to provide filtered visible image data. The method also includes applying a corresponding gain to the filtered visible image data to provide weighted visible image data. The method also includes merging the weighted visible image data and the thermal image data to provide combined image data. Additional methods, systems, and other implementations are also provided.

    Abstract: A system for attaching decorative identifiers to apparel and accessories includes a backing band attached at at least an upper edge to the item. The band has vertical slits to accommodate a display belt interwoven through the slits to form hanging loops. Decorative identifiers such a letters, charms, or insignia are suspended from identifier hangers. The hangers are shaped to fit pivotally over the hanging loops. The display belt is attached to either the item or the backing band at one end and may be removably attached to the item or the backing band at the other end to allow for easy removal of the hangers. The display belt is attached to the item or backing band using a pair of rings, a buckle, a snap, Velcro® fasteners or buttons. The decorative identifiers may be attached to the hangers permanently or using split or openable rings, swivels or spring clips.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to dryer-activated fabric softening compositions and articles, having improved antistatic and/or softening effects, for use in an automatic clothes dryer, especially those comprising, as essential ingredients: (A) fabric softener consisting essentially of: (1) from about 5% to about 95% of preferably biodegradable quaternary ammonium compound selected from the group consisting of the compounds of Formulas I, II, III, and mixtures thereof; (2) from 0% to about 95% highly ethoxylated and/or propoxylated, preferably at least 5 ethylene oxide (EO) and/or propylene oxide (PO) groups per molecule, sugar derivative containing at least one long hydrophobic moiety per molecule; and (3) from 0% to about 95% of carboxylic acid salt of tertiary amine; and (B) from about 1% to about 15%, unsaturated fatty acid having an IV of from about 3 to about 60. The amount of (A) present is at least sufficient to provide softening and/or antistatic effects.
