    Abstract: The system provides a method and apparatus for implementing an electronic menu navigation system to present a range of categories and content items within each category to the user, and to allow the user to browse the categories with a cascading movement. Within each category the user can navigate left and right to view the items contained in that category. The new navigation is implemented as a cascading browser or cascading menu. The menu is presented as a plurality of tiers with each tier having a plurality of seats. The effect is three dimensional and similar to viewing audience seating from a stage.
