  • Patent number: 7104117
Abstract: A device (1) for determining the qualify of a medium, particularly of a lubricant and/or cutting oil, includes a number of sensors (3, 4, 5, 6, 7) that emit electric output signals according to the respective sensor-specific input variables. One sensor is a temperature sensor (7) that emits an output signal, which is essentially only dependent on the temperature (T) of the medium and is essentially independent of, in particular, the quality of the medium. At least one other sensor (3, 4, 5, 6) emits an output signal that is dependent on both the quality of the medium as well as the temperature (T) of the medium. The sensors (3, 4, 5, 6, 7) are placed on a shared substrate (2) that can be immersed in the medium. An associated process also determines the quality of a medium.

  • Patent number: 7027356
Abstract: A device for detecting objects, especially used as a parking assistance device in a motor vehicle, includes a plurality of distance sensors, at least one microcontroller configured to control the distance sensors and an output unit. The distance sensors emit a signal in accordance with an identifier that is modified over time by the microcontroller.

  • Publication number: 20040252930
Abstract: The invention relates to a sensor or a microphone having such a sensor. The object of the present invention is to improve the degree of development of the sensor or an optical microphone as an air-borne sound sensor. A sensor consisting of a diaphragm, wherein at least on one side the diaphragm comprises a surface which reflects a light beam, wherein on this side a first optical waveguide is constructed as a transmitting waveguide, through which a light beam passes and strikes against the diaphragm, wherein a second optical waveguide constructed at a specific angular relationship to the first optical waveguide is provided, which has the function of a receiving waveguide and into which light reflected from the diaphragm enters, an optical element is constructed in the light path between the transmitting waveguide and the receiving waveguide, by which the light beam is bunched or focussed.

  • Patent number: 6789327
Abstract: A touch probe 9 for a coordinate measuring apparatus is proposed which includes a touch probe chassis 29 adapted to be attached to the coordinate measuring apparatus, a support for the sensing stylus 39 which is mounted on the touch probe chassis 29 so as to be deflectable from a rest position and on which a sensing stylus 47 is mountable for contacting a workpiece 17, a deflection measuring system 55, 57 for detecting a deflection of the support for the sensing stylus 39 with respect to the touch probe chassis 29 and an inspection optics 61 for inspecting a tip 49 of the sensing stylus 47. The touch probe 1 is characterized in that at least one of the components support for the sensing stylus 39 and touch probe chassis 29 comprises a transverse support 39 which extends transversely to a direction of extension of the sensing stylus 47 and which is transparent to light in at least a portion thereof and which is disposed in a beam path 69 of the inspection optics 61.
