  • Publication number: 20240093565
Abstract: A subsea grease injection system has a grease accumulator containing a supply of grease, a hydraulic accumulator, a flowline connected to an outlet of the grease accumulator so as to allow discharge of grease from the supply to flow therethrough, and a subsea structure connected to the flowline. The hydraulic accumulator is in fluid communication with the grease accumulator such that the displacement of hydraulic fluid from the hydraulic accumulator causes a corresponding discharge of grease from the grease accumulator. The subsea structure receives grease from the flowline. The grease accumulator is a piston and cylinder in which the piston is received in the cylinder to define first and second compartments. The supply of grease is in the first compartment. The hydraulic fluid fills an interior of the second compartment. This avoids the use of hydraulic conduits from the surface such that only power and communications are from the surface.

  • Patent number: 11903570
Abstract: A method of treating a vessel in a subject comprises the steps of advancing a device distally across a treatment zone in a vessel, wherein the device comprises an elongated catheter having a lumen and a distal end, and a radially expansive treatment element disposed in the lumen and configured for axial movement relative to the catheter; deploying the radially expansive treatment element proud of the distal end of the catheter to radially expand and circumferentially impress against the vessel lumen at a distal end of the treatment zone; and withdrawing the deployed radially expansive treatment element proximally along the treatment zone with the treatment element circumferentially impressed against the vessel lumen to mechanically and circumferentially denude the treatment zone of the vessel. The radially expansive treatment element is then recaptured into the lumen of the catheter, before the device is withdrawn from the treated vessel.

  • Patent number: 11104493
Abstract: A pouring spout assembly for pouring fluid from a bottle without spillage includes a spout that is attachable to a bottle to pour a fluid contained in the bottle. A trigger is movably integrated into the spout that can be depressed by a user and the trigger is biased into an up-depressed position. A disk is coupled to the trigger such that the disk is positioned within the spout. The disk closes the spout when the trigger is not depressed to inhibit the fluid from pouring outwardly through the spout. Conversely, the disk opens the spout when the trigger is depressed to facilitate the liquid to pour from the spout.

  • Patent number: 10995650
Abstract: A heat shield for a bellows includes a central section, a first outer section, a first annular insert, a first annular flexion member, a first pipe, and a first rod. The first outer section includes a first outer section first end and a first outer section second end opposite the first outer section end. The first annular insert includes a first slot and is positioned within the first outer section second end. The first annular flexion member is coupled to the first outer section first end of the first outer section and coupled to the central section. The first annular flexion member facilitates movement between the first outer section and the central section. The first pipe is partially received within the first slot in the first annular insert. • Patent number: 10526998
Abstract: A system and method for fluidly sealing a cylinder head interface between an engine block and a cylinder head of an internal combustion engine. An example apparatus includes a perimeter seal disposed on an outer periphery of the cylinder head. The perimeter seal has a first surface to abut a cylinder head sealing surface and a second surface to abut an engine block sealing surface. The perimeter seal is configured to prevent fluid from an external environment from entering the cylinder head interface and to allow fluid within the cylinder head interface to vent to the external environment when the fluid is above a predetermined pressure. A first fluid transfer tube seal fluidly seals a first fluid transfer orifice extending between the engine block and the cylinder head. The perimeter seal and the first fluid transfer tube seal are formed as a unitary structure.

  • Publication number: 20190100224
Abstract: A railcar coupling aid is provided to link a sequentially aligned pair of railcars having unactuated couplers so that such couplers may become engaged on a portion of rail more conducive to their actuation or so that such couplers may be serviced at a more convenient location along the rail. It may comprise a first and second length of rugged and flexible material spaced apart by a first and second crossed portion of such material. The crossed portions define a space configured to receive both of a pair of opposing coupler draw heads therethrough. When the net is draped over the opposing draw heads, each of the first and second lengths may be secured to themselves around one each of the coupler's draw shafts. Thus, each railcar may be at least temporarily linked to one another in a manner that avoids risking injury to railworker limbs.
