  • Patent number: 10625205
Abstract: Dry pumps are used to pump a variety of gas mixtures from the semiconductor industry. The present invention provides a liquid ring pump located between the dry pump and an abatement device to remove soluble corrosive materials prior to the exhaust gases entry to the abatement device, the work fluid exhausted from the liquid ring pump being separated from the gas prior to entry to the abatement device.

  • Patent number: 10574719
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for a streaming service generating an aggregation of data streams in response to a query from a client device for data streams matching the query. The aggregation of data streams matching the query is presented to the requesting client as a single virtual stream. The streaming service modifies the virtual stream in real-time by adding data streams matching the query that come online to the virtual stream, or deleting data streams from the virtual stream that go offline. The streaming service can partition the virtual stream if the data flow rate increases above a threshold, and reduce partitions if the data flow rate falls below a threshold. The client device can add or terminate consumer processes in response to changes in the data flow rate and partitioning.

  • Patent number: 10554546
Abstract: An improved technique involves using a systems dynamics model in an information technology (IT) data center in order to determine an optimal distribution of data among data center devices. Along these lines, a data center control server takes measurements of devices across an IT data center over time and compares these measurements to quantities specified in set points (e.g., a service level agreement (SLA)) to produce deviations. The data center control server then inputs the deviations from the set points into a systems dynamics engine that determines a configuration of the devices in the IT data center so that output from the IT data center satisfies a set of constraints, including those specified in the SLA. The data center control server then configures the IT data center devices according to the configuration to send incoming data along the specified data paths.

  • Patent number: 10301908
Abstract: An array of sliding sleeve valves are uniquely addressable without control lines or wires to open for a treatment and then close and then selectively open for production. The discrete movements employ an available pressure source such as tubing pressure and change the piston areas on opposed sides of a sliding sleeve valve to get the desired movements. Access valves to tubing pressure can be actuated in a desired sequence with signals such as acoustic or electromagnetic, for example. Access to one piston area that communicates opposed and offsetting piston areas to the tubing hydrostatic can be achieved with a straddle tool breaking a rupture disc. The piston is then in pressure balanced and can be moved in a desired direction with the straddle tool straddling access locations to the piston from above or below.

  • Patent number: 10253594
Abstract: A zone to be treated comprises a plurality of sliding sleeve valves. The sleeve defined opposed chambers charged with pressurized fluid on opposed sides of the sleeve. Valves responsive to a remote signal with no borehole intervention change the pressure balance on the sleeve to get it to open from a closed position and then close and then to reopen for production. One way this is done is by sequential pressure bleeding off from the opposed chambers. A zone having multiple such valves can be treated without need for dropping balls and subsequent milling out, which allows production to commence sooner with reduced restrictions to flow from the ball seats and without the debris associated from a milling operation.

  • Patent number: 10149681
Abstract: A compression ring to grip and compress body structure such as diverticulum, hemorrhoids, and tissue adjacent a hole. A resilient ring-shaped body defines a compression channel, and one or more axially rigid elongated spikes extend from the body into the channel. The body defines a first axial segment surrounding the compression channel and a second axial segment surrounding the compression channel, with the spike being engaged only with the second axial segment. The first axial segment more tightly compresses the body structure than the second axial segment.
