  • Publication number: 20100162940
Abstract: A ‘Blue Dot’ stick-on moisture indicator system that includes a stick-on transparent, polypropylene film patch with a sticky, pressure sensitive, hot melt, rubber-resin that applies on one surface, a dimensionally smaller, ‘Blue Dot’ indicator patch and a dimensionally larger, silicon treated, release (peel) liner strip to which a plurality of stick-on film patches with ‘Blue Dot’ indicator patches, are affixed to such that functionally isolates both the moisture sensitive ‘Blue Dot’ (cobalt chloride treated paper) from moisture and the surrounding sticky surface of the stick-on film from debris before the indicator is applied or deployed (adhered) onto a surface.

  • Patent number: 7649013
Abstract: Administration of a modulator of cell cycle checkpoint activation, which is preferably ?-lapachone, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt, prodrug, metabolite, analog or derivative thereof, protects normal cells against radiation injury. The invention includes methods of preventing radiation damage. The invention also provides methods for treating conditions such as cancer with radiotherapy, by administering a modulator of cell cycle checkpoint activation to a subject, prior to administration of radiotherapy.

  • Patent number: 5725197
Abstract: A mains pressure valve including a main chamber having an inlet chamber for fluid and an outlet for fluid, a non-return valve located downstream of the outlet and adapted to provide resistance to fluid flowing therethrough, a piston located in the main chamber which is movable into and out of sealing engagement with the outlet of the main chamber and which defines above it an upper portion of the main chamber and having an internal passageway which communicates between the upper portion of the main chamber and the inlet, a port in the upper portion which permits fluid to flow therethrough, and actuation control associated with the port to regulate the flow of fluid through the port. Upon actuation, fluid in the upper portion drains through the port, allowing the piston to rise and mains pressure fluid passes from the inlet chamber through main chamber and out discharge chamber.

  • Patent number: 4682628
Abstract: A sensing and valve operating mechanism for remotely controlling a faucet can be used with an anti-scald faucet valve and can be provided on a faucet by a kit. The mechanism senses the presence of an object near a faucet outlet, energizes a solenoid in response to the presence of an object, and calculates the time when the solenoid is energized. Energy is removed from the solenoid after a predetermined time interval notwithstanding that the presence of an object is still being sensed. The solenoid cannot be re-energized until after the object is removed from near the faucet outlet.
