  • Publication number: 20230291610
Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a responding device may receive a signal from an initiating device. The responding device may estimate, from the signal, a channel impulse response (CIR) that represents signal reflections from one or more objects as multiple taps. The responding device may select one or more taps, from the multiple taps, that are within a first time window that starts at a first offset from a reference point and that has a first specified time duration. The responding device may transmit, to the initiating device, a CIR report that indicates the one or more taps. Numerous other aspects are described.

Abstract: An electrophoretic display includes an electrophoretic medium having a non-polar fluid and two sets of charged pigment particles dispersed in the non-polar fluid and movable through the non-polar fluid under influence of an electric field. The two sets of charged pigment particles have different optical characteristics from each other. The display also includes a light-transmissive electrode on one side of the electrophoretic medium, a rear electrode on an opposite side of the electrophoretic medium, and a dielectric layer having a dielectric constant greater than 5 between the electrophoretic medium and the light-transmissive electrode or between the electrophoretic medium and the rear electrode configured to reduce electrode electrochemical degradation and buildup of remnant voltages in the display.

  • Publication number: 20230286099
Abstract: An improved method is described for measuring a dimension (e.g. diameter) of a non-toothed tool, for example a grinding tool such as a diamond coated burr. The method may be implemented on a machine tool, such as a lathe, machining centre or the like. The method comprises passing a beam of light from a transmitter to a receiver. The receiver produces a received intensity signal related to the intensity of received light. Analysis of variations in the received intensity signal is performed when a rotating tool is moved relative to the light beam to enable a dimension of the tool to be measured. In particular, it may be determined when the received intensity signal has crossed a threshold for at least a defined duration, the defined duration being less than the time taken for one complete rotation of the tool.

  • Publication number: 20230288899
Abstract: In a workpiece production method a plurality of nominally similar workpieces are produced in a production process on one production machine. The order or time of production of some of the workpieces on the production machine is recorded. Some of the workpieces recorded are measured at two or more inspection stations. Dimensions or points of one workpiece are measured at one of the inspection stations, and corresponding dimensions or points of another of the workpieces are measured at another of the inspection stations. The results of the measurements of corresponding dimensions or points made at the two or more inspection stations are analysed together, taking account of the order or time of production of the workpieces. An output signal is produced based on the analysing of the results together. The output signal indicates performance of the production machine or of one or more of the inspection stations.

  • Publication number: 20230289348
Abstract: A system and a method are disclosed for identifying a co-applicant based on proximity to an applicant. In an embodiment, a processor determines a location of the applicant, and identifies a plurality of potential co-applicants that are collocated with the location of the applicant. For each respective potential co-applicant of the plurality of potential co-applicants, the processor determines whether a respective edge exists on a graph that connects the applicant with the respective potential co-applicant, and, responsive to determining that the respective edge exists, identifies the respective potential co-applicant as a candidate co-applicant. The processor generates for display, on a device of the applicant, a selectable option that, when selected, indicates that the applicant would like to use the candidate co-applicant as a co-applicant for an application. Responsive to detecting a selection of the selectable option, the processor activates the application at a device of the candidate co-applicant.

  • Publication number: 20230289531
Abstract: Embodiments improve a document classification system by adjusting the class vector of each class based on embedded vectors of documents known to have been misclassified by the system. Some embodiments use a set of misclassified documents to adjust the class vector of the class into which a document has been misclassified. Some embodiments use a set of misclassified documents to adjust the class vector of the pre-assigned class of each misclassified document. • Publication number: 20230290194
Abstract: Technologies for determining driver efficiency include receiving, by a telematics server, accelerometer data from a telematics device located in a vehicle driven by a driver. The accelerometer data defines a pattern of acceleration of the vehicle over a time period. The telematics server determines a driver efficiency score of the driver based on the accelerometer data. The driver efficiency score is indicative of an average absolute acceleration of the vehicle over the time period. The determined driver efficiency score may be compared to a reference efficiency score and/or efficiency scores of other drivers to rank the drivers.
