Patent number: 11353289Abstract: A zero-stop mechanism comprises first and second stop members and a movement limit member. The second stop member is releasably secured to an adjustment mechanism. The movement limit member extends around a turret assembly and has a substantially annular main body from which a lug extends. In a first rotational direction of the adjustment mechanism, the second stop member comes into contact with a first side of the lug whereby the main body is rotated in the first rotational direction until a second side of the lug comes into contact with the first stop member. In a second rotational direction of the adjustment mechanism, the second stop member comes into contact with the lug second side whereby the main body is rotated in the second rotational direction until the lug first side contacts the first stop member.Type: GrantFiled: January 17, 2020Date of Patent: June 7, 2022Assignee: Hawke Optics LimitedInventors: Stephen Andrew Walker, Alexander George Jenkinson

Patent number: 11313648Abstract: A telescopic sight for a hand-held weapon comprises a housing for an optical system that presents a telescopic image to a user, and a zoom adjustment ring on the housing. The optical system has objective and ocular lens systems and between these an image erector lens system, and a sighting element bearing a graphic image pattern at either a first focal plane between the image erector lens system and the objective lens system or a second focal plane between the image erector lens system and the ocular lens system. An optical zoom system is linked to the zoom adjustment ring for effecting a change in magnification. The zoom adjustment ring is movable over the housing in opposite forward and rearward axial directions between a locked position and an unlocked position to adjust the zoom magnification. In the locked position interengaging formations between the ring and housing slides into engagement.Type: GrantFiled: November 22, 2017Date of Patent: April 26, 2022Assignee: Hawke Optics LimitedInventors: Stephen Andrew Walker, Alexander George Jenkinson

Patent number: 9618300Abstract: A kit for fitting a handwheel to a focussing control of a rifle scope is used to enlarge a focussing ring of the control, without having to remove the focussing ring from the control. The handwheel is secured by a headed bolt to a projecting stub shaft. The handwheel has a side plate supporting an outer rim that has a plurality of peripheral indentations to assist turning of the handwheel. The side plate has a central hole and a hub that projects axially from the side plate and defines a bore for receiving the stub shaft. The outer diameter of the hub is received within an outer end portion of the focussing ring. The hub has at least one abutment that co-operates with the stub shaft to inhibit relative rotational movement. A cap bolt extends through the hole to engage the stub shaft and secure the handwheel to the control.Type: GrantFiled: July 19, 2016Date of Patent: April 11, 2017Assignee: Deben Group Industries LimitedInventor: Stephen Andrew Walker
