  • Publication number: 20230395341
Abstract: A slide switch with an elastomer web for eliminating slide backlash and rattle. The elastomer web is disposed in the motion path of a mechanical slider and biases the slider to contact a switch nub. The biased slider eliminates a loose translational motion of the mechanical slider and therefore a user's perception of loose motion or backlash when actuating the switch. The elastomer web improves the user's perception of the mechanical slider's quality. Additionally, the elastomer web allows for larger assembly tolerances between the mechanical slider and the switch nub. An increased assembly tolerance improves yield for mechanical parts and reduces the cost of manufacturing.

  • Publication number: 20230384622
Abstract: A movable assembly with an elastomer bellows forming a cosmetic covering and providing ingress protection of a dynamic opening between a pair of enclosures. On one side of the dynamic opening, the bellows is secured to an enclosure by protrusions of that enclosure that extend into mating openings in the bellows and a retainer that engages those protrusions. An adhesive secures the protrusions to the retainer to form a secure clamped connection of the bellows to the enclosure. On the other side of the dynamic opening, the bellows is secured to another enclosure without the use of fasteners or adhesives. Teeth in openings of the second enclosure are secured in a recessed channel of the bellows created by a protrusion and a flange. As the two enclosures move relative to one another, the bellows is stretched and compressed such that the dynamic opening between the two enclosures is cosmetically covered with ingress protection.

  • Publication number: 20230301045
Abstract: A shield can for an electronic eyewear device is described that reduces RF signals emanating from the electronic eyewear device. The shield can is attached to a ground plate of the electronic eyewear device using leaf springs on a side of the shield can. The leaf springs do not add to the stack-up thickness of the shield can assembly and provide a balanced force against the ground plate. The shield can is attached to a printed circuit board and encompasses radio frequency (RF) electronic components to prevent RF signals emanating from the RF electronic components. The leaf springs have a pair of fingers providing the balanced mechanical point force. A conductive pressure sensitive adhesive is also provided to secure a top surface of the shield can to the ground plate along with a thermal paste.

  • Publication number: 20230252975
Abstract: Techniques are described for invoking and switching between chatbots of a chatbot system. In some embodiments, the chatbot system is capable of routing an utterance received while a user is already interacting with a first chatbot in the chatbot system. For instance, the chatbot system may identify a second chatbot based on determining that (i) such an utterance is an invalid input to the first chatbot or (ii) that the first chatbot is attempting to route the utterance to a destination associated with the first chatbot. Identifying the second chatbot can involve computing, using a predictive model, separate confidence scores for the first chatbot and the second chatbot, and then determining that a confidence score for the second chatbot satisfies one or more confidence score thresholds. The utterance is then routed to the second chatbot based on the identifying of the second chatbot.
