    Abstract: A tissue repair system for securing a first tissue to a second tissue is disclosed including an instrument with a handle, a shaft extending distally from the handle and a housing having a locked cover. A tissue anchor is disposed at a distal end of the shaft, and operatively coupled to an actuation member of the handle via a deployment member. The actuation member is configured to actuate the deployment member, deploy the tissue anchor and thereby couple the tissue anchor with the first tissue. The system also includes a repair member, for coupling the tissue anchor to the second tissue. Repair member has a first end operatively coupled to the tissue anchor and a second end attached to at least one coupling means. The repair member second end and coupling means are housed within the instrument housing. Actuation of the actuation member is configured to unlock the housing cover.

    Abstract: Disclosed herein is a kit for augmenting a primary repair construct in an articulating joint. The kit includes a flexible member, a first implant that fixes a first end of the flexible member in a first bone adjacent to the primary repair construct and a second implant that may selectively couple to the flexible member, and thereby fix a second end of the flexible member in a second bone adjacent to the primary repair construct. The system includes a mechanism that enables a bone screw to be rigidly attached to a screwdriver for manipulation and transfer of bone fragments and grafts to a fixation site, such as during surgery. The system includes a cannulated bone screw that has a drive connection that engages with a drive structures of a screwdriver. The bone screw also includes a structural connector that securely attaches to or receives an internal shaft or rod of the screwdriver. The internal shaft or rod of the screwdriver can rotate and slide independent of an outer shaft of screwdriver. Accordingly, the internal shaft of the screwdriver can rigidly connect with the bone screw enabling applied torque to the screwdriver to be transferred to the bone screw, without the bone screw falling off of the drive connection.
