  • Publication number: 20180215599
Abstract: An automatic bottle opener includes a motorized auger with automatic sensing for starting and stopping rotation of the auger. In some embodiments, the automatic bottle opener may sense engagement of the bottle opener with a bottle to activate rotation of the motorized auger for engaging and removing the cork and may sense an extracted position of the cork to stop rotation of the motorized auger. Additionally or alternatively, embodiments of the automatic bottle opener may sense a change in position (e.g., a tilted position) of the bottle opener to activate reverse rotation of the motorized auger for ejecting the extracted cork.

  • Publication number: 20180140085
Abstract: A grill cleaner generally includes a wire brush formed by a plurality of wire loops extending from a brush block. The wire loops may include a solid core wire or a wire cable/cord (e.g., a plurality of wound wire strands). In one embodiment, the wire loops may be formed as individual wire loops having the ends secured in sleeves (e.g., crimped). The grill cleaner also include one or more handles to allow a user to urge the wire loops across a grate of a grill such that movement of the wire loops across the grate dislodges debris (e.g., food particles) adhered to a surface of the grate.

  • Publication number: 20170156975
Abstract: A massage apparatus with integrated rotating and reciprocating massage mechanisms is capable of providing distinct shiatsu and tapping massage effects independently and simultaneously. The massage apparatus includes at least one rotating massage node rotating about an axis to form a circular path and at least one reciprocating massage node reciprocating inside the circular path. The rotating massage node(s) may rotate on a rotating base driven by a rotating drive mechanism (e.g., a motor), and the reciprocating massage node(s) may be driven by a reciprocating drive mechanism (e.g., a solenoid) through an aperture in the rotating base. The massage apparatus may include one or more sets of integrated rotating and reciprocating massage mechanisms. The massage apparatus may be enclosed in different types of enclosures (e.g., massage chair, cushion, chair topper, drapable enclosure) configured to engage various parts of the body (e.g., neck, back, shoulders) to impart the massage effects.

  • Patent number: 9470890
Abstract: A fogless mirror assembly includes a mirror enclosure and a water reservoir configured to be removably coupled to the mirror enclosure. The mirror enclosure includes a mirror and a frame defining an internal cavity having a water inlet and a water drain. The water reservoir defines a fluid cavity and includes a water outlet and an outlet valve configured to automatically open the water outlet when the water reservoir is coupled to the mirror enclosure such that a volume of water flows from the fluid cavity, into the internal cavity through the water inlet, and exits the internal cavity through the water drain to transfer thermal energy from the water to the mirror thereby increasing the temperature of the mirror from a starting temperature to at least approximately a dew point of water vapor proximate to mirror.

  • Patent number: 9440240
Abstract: A combined ionic air filter and humidifier apparatus filters air using ionic air filtering, humidifies at least a portion of the filtered ionized air, and directs the humidified filtered ionized air back into the environment. The apparatus generally includes an ionic air filter for ionizing and filtering air to produce filtered ionized air and a humidifier for humidifying the filtered ionized air to produce humidified filtered ionized air. A humidifier manifold fluidly couples the humidifier with the ionic air filter in a manner that does not allow the humidifier to interfere with operation of the ionic air filter. One or more fans draw the air into the ionic air filter and direct at least a portion of the filtered ionized air into the humidifier manifold such that the humidified filtered ionized air is discharged from the humidifier manifold.

  • Patent number: 9125521
Abstract: A combined multiple beverage brewing apparatus is capable of brewing an individual serving of at least two different beverages such as coffee or tea. The apparatus generally includes a removable brewing basket with separate brewing sections, which are usable in different brewing positions and have separate spouts such that different beverages may be brewed and dispensed without contacting the same spout. The brewing basket is configured to receive a first reusable filter that holds a first brewing material and filters as water passes through and a second reusable filter that holds a second brewing material while hot water contained in the brewing basket steeps the second brewing material. At least one of the brewing sections further includes a valve to hold hot water in the brewing basket until a brewing release mechanism actuates the valve to release the brewed beverage through the dispensing spout.
