Abstract: A liquid formulation of an ophthalmic drug in a pre-filled pharmaceutical package, for example a syringe, cartridge, vial or any other vessel made in part or in whole of a thermoplastic polymer, coated on the interior with a tie coating or layer, a barrier coating or layer, a pH protective coating or layer, and optionally a lubricity coating or layer. A blister, a pouch, a bag, a tray or a tub may encompass as a secondary packaging the syringe, vial, cartridge, tube or any other vessel. The package is suitable for sterilization (e.g., surface and/or terminal sterilization) with sterilization gas residuals being minimal and/or lower than required by ISO 10993-7; and/or the stability of the ophthalmic drug is maintained, during a prolonged time period following the sterilization. The sterilization gas may be EO, propylene oxide, chlorine dioxide, nitrogen dioxide, or vaporized hydrogen peroxide (VHP), among others.

Abstract: Various techniques are provided to efficiently detect the position and angular velocity of an object relative to a compact radar system including a transmitter antenna array and a receiver antenna array. In one example, a method includes repeatedly scanning a transmitter antenna array and a receiver antenna array of an object sensing system through a plurality of designated transmitter and receiver channels over a period of time to generate a time series of measured channel responses corresponding to each one of the designated channels, determining a time series of directional vectors to or from an object scanned by at least one of the designated channels, and/or a corresponding time series of average phase differences, based, at least in part, on the time series of measured channel responses, and determining an angular velocity of the object from the time series of directional vectors and/or the corresponding time series of average phase differences.

  • Publication number: 20140152891
Abstract: A method and apparatus is disclosed herein for reducing digital video image data. In one embodiment, the method comprises comparing a signature for one or more regions of a current frame of the image data to a signature of a corresponding region of one or more previous frames; and for a region of the one or more regions, sending the region to the data sink if comparing the signature results in determining that the signature of the region does not match a signature of a corresponding region of a previous frame available at the data sink.

  • Publication number: 20130287029
Abstract: The present invention inspects packets to identify session initiation messages associated with select applications. A session initiation message may be any message used to initiate a communication session with another communication client. Once a session initiation message from a select application is identified, the intended communication session may be identified, monitored, prevented, or otherwise processed in a predefined manner. These select applications may be illicit applications from which communication sessions are actually or potentially unlawful or otherwise improper. The illicit communication sessions that the present invention seeks to control may be used for voice communications as well as for transferring data and facilitating application collaboration, such as is used in video conferencing or file sharing. The session initiation messages need not be received directly from the originating communication client for inspection.

  • Publication number: 20100312041
Abstract: The invention consists of a broad method of presenting audible, visual, and sensory cues for synchronizing the breathing cycle with an external timing reference for purposes of synchronizing the heart rate variability cycle with the breathing cycle, thereby achieving coherence of the heart rate variability cycle. A family of audible, visual, and sensory indicators is specified for purposes of communicating breathing phase, change of breathing phase, progression of time within a phase, and progression of the phase relative to the internal perception of the practitioner.

  • Patent number: 7713212
Abstract: The present invention provides a biofeedback system and method for the purpose of allowing a human subject to consciously synchronize one's rhythm of breathing with one's natural heart rhythm for purposes of maximizing coherence of one's heart rate variability pattern and consequent enhancement of physiological/psychological well being. It accomplishes this by facilitating a biofeedback signal that indicates to the human subject precisely when to inhale and exhale such that the breathing cycle will achieve a high degree of alignment with the natural heart rate cycle. It also specifies an instructive method for bringing a human subject to an adequately coherent heart rate variability pattern such that the preferred embodiment of the invention can be applied.

  • Patent number: 7633972
Abstract: In a multi-service communication environment, the present invention determines packet length criteria and provides the packet length criteria to access nodes for a network. The packet length criteria identify a packet length at which packets for delivery over the network are too long. Packets that are too long are disassembled and used to create shorter packets. The shorter packets and original packets that were not too long are then forwarded over the network. At the other end of the network, the original and shorter packets are received, wherein the shorter packets are used to recreate the original packets that were deemed too long for transmission by the packet length criteria. In addition to the packet length criteria, transmission priority criteria may be determined and used to prioritize the transmission of packets, including original packets or those packets that were shortened, for delivery over the network.
