Patent number: 12144611Abstract: Systems and methods described provide dynamic and intelligent ways to change the required level of user interaction during use of a monitoring device. The systems and methods generally relate to real time switching between a first or initial mode of user interaction and a second or new mode of user interaction. In some cases, the switching will be automatic and transparent to the user, and in other cases user notification may occur. The mode switching generally affects the user's interaction with the device, and not just internal processing. The mode switching may relate to calibration modes, data transmission modes, control modes, or the like.Type: GrantFiled: September 22, 2015Date of Patent: November 19, 2024Assignee: Dexcom, Inc.Inventors: Naresh C. Patent number: 7182344Abstract: A word game based on “hold'em poker is played using one or more decks of cards, with each card containing a consonant or a vowel. In the preferred embodiment, separate decks are provided for the vowels and consonants, respectively. Two cards from the vowel deck are dealt face down to each player. Three consonant cards are then dealt face up in the center of the table. These face up consonant cards are available for use by all players. The object of the game is to provide the longest word possible using the face down cards and the face up cards in the center of the table. After the three up cards have been dealt, the players bet using play money distributed to the players at the beginning of the game. After the first round of betting is complete, a fourth consonant card is dealt face up in the center of the table and a further round of betting takes place. A fifth card (also a consonant card) is dealt face up in the center of the table and the final round of betting takes place.Type: GrantFiled: August 20, 2004Date of Patent: February 27, 2007Inventor: Stephen Bloom

Patent number: 4670916Abstract: The invention relates to an improved system for dispensing deodorant, disinfectant and cleaning materials into or around a toilet bowl and, particularly, to a U-shaped bracket for mounting a dispensing container onto the rim of the toilet bowl. The U-shaped bracket comprises a cross member which fits transversely over the top of the rim, a pair of depending legs, one of which has a means to hold a dispensing container and a pair of arms on the cross member which engage the underside of the toilet seat and support the seat without transmitting any turning or twisting motion to the bracket. One of the arms extends over the valve on the dispensing container and actuates the valve to dispense material when the toilet seat moves in a vertical direction.Type: GrantFiled: November 20, 1985Date of Patent: June 9, 1987Assignee: Sitting Pretty, Inc.Inventor: Stephen A.
