Abstract: A system is disclosed for providing services related to the securities industry to customers of broker-dealers. The system comprises a broker-dealer services module providing for at least one of indications of liquidity and/or interest, order entry, order management, and order crossing. The system further comprises a service transport media module enabling formulation of an electronic message provided in a first format as a function of at least one of an instant message, cellular text message, e-mail message, interactive voice response message, and a hypertext markup language message.
