  • Publication number: 20240239033
Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for mitigating vent flow into a vent attachment on an extruder vent of an extruder. The vent attachment has a vent attachment port configured to release gases from the extruder vent. The techniques include monitoring temperature via a temperature probe mounted at least partly inside an interior opening of the vent attachment. The temperature probe is communicatively coupled to a programmable logic controller (PLC). A region of the vent attachment adjacent the temperature probe is cooled so as to reduce an operating temperature of the region and of the temperature probe. Vent flow is detected in response to the PLC determining a rate of temperature change of the temperature probe exceeding a predetermined threshold rate and thereby indicating presence of the material in the vent attachment port.

  • Patent number: 9014363
Abstract: A system and method for providing an adaptive Interaction Logging functionality to help agents reduce the time spent documenting contact center interactions. In a preferred embodiment the system uses a pipeline comprising audio capture of a telephone conversation, automatic speech transcription, text normalization, transcript generation and candidate call log generation based on Real-time and Global Models. The contact center agent edits the candidate call log to create the final call log. The models are updated based on analysis of user feedback in the form of the editing of the candidate call log done by the contact center agents or supervisors. The pipeline yields a candidate call log which the agents can edit in less time than it would take them to generate a call log manually.

  • Patent number: 8341159
Abstract: Methods, apparatus and systems are provided to generate from a set of training documents a set of training data and a set of features for a taxonomy of categories. In this generated taxonomy the degree of feature overlap among categories is minimized in order to optimize use with a machine-based categorizer. However, the categories still make sense to a human because a human makes the decisions regarding category definitions. In an example embodiment, for each category, a plurality of training documents selected using Web search engines is generated, the documents winnowed to produce a more refined set of training documents, and a set of features highly differentiating for that category within a set of categories (a supercategory) extracted. This set of training documents or differentiating features is used as input to a categorizer, which determines for a plurality of test documents the plurality of categories to which they best belong.

  • Patent number: 8037061
Abstract: A system and computer readable medium for providing a set of refinement categories for a set of search results generated in response to a search query. The system comprises: a category identifier system that analyzes each search result and identifies at least one category from a hierarchy of categories for each search result, thereby providing a list of identified categories; a ranking system that ranks each category in the list of identified categories; and a selection system that selects a predetermined number of the highest ranking categories from the list of identified categories to generate the set of refinement categories, wherein the selection system eliminates categories from the set of refinement categories if the category has a parent in the set of refinement categories.

  • Publication number: 20100332287
Abstract: A system and method for real-time prediction of contact center customer satisfaction including means and steps for capturing an interaction between a customer and a customer service agent, converting the captured interaction into transcribed text, analyzing the transcribed text to extract a plurality of unstructured features most closely related to customer satisfaction, combining the extracted features with a plurality of structured features obtained from other contact center data, generating a customer satisfaction score from the combination of extracted unstructured features and structured features, and presenting the customer satisfaction score to contact center personnel.
