  • Patent number: 11066890
Abstract: A tubing hanger assembly for suspending a tubing string within a wellbore is provided. The tubing hanger assembly comprises a tubing head, a tubing hanger and a tubing head adapter. The tubing hanger and the tubing head adapter have aligned through-openings such that a chemical injection line and a communications line may each be passed through respective through-openings, thereby enabling an operator to have access to the wellbore. Beneficially, the assembly also comprises a bottom flange that secures the tubing head adapter to the tubing head once the tubing hanger and connected string of production tubing are landed in the wellbore. The bottom flange may be rotated so that ports in the bottom flange may be aligned with ports in an upper flange in the tubing head. A method for hanging a string of production tubing in a wellbore is also provided herein.

  • Patent number: 11035193
Abstract: A tubing hanger assembly for suspending a tubing string within a wellbore. The tubing hanger assembly comprises a tubing head and a tubing hanger. The tubing hanger lands within the tubing head to gravitationally support a string of production tubing. The tubing hanger includes an auxiliary port extending from the upper end to the lower end. The auxiliary port receives unsheathed conductive wires from a power cable. To secure the conductive wires within the auxiliary port and to prevent shorting, the conductive wires are placed within a unique disc stack. The tubing hanger assembly further includes a bottom plate residing along the lower end of the tubular body and securing the disc stack. Thus, the tubing hanger assembly is arranged to receive a continuous power cable from a power source into the wellbore, through the auxiliary port, without the conductive wires being spliced.

  • Patent number: 10989002
Abstract: A cable pack-off apparatus for a wellbore is provided. The apparatus is designed to threadedly connect to the auxiliary port of a tubing head, over the wellbore, and to receive a power cable. The power cable provides power to an ESP downhole. The cable pack-off apparatus provides a self-sealing mechanism in the event that the power cable must be pulled (or becomes pulled) from the wellbore, such as in the event of parted tubing. A packing element sealingly receives the power cable within a housing of the apparatus. A method for self-sealing a tubing head over a wellbore is also provided herein.

  • Patent number: 10801291
Abstract: A tubing hanger system for suspending a tubing string within a wellbore is provided. The system is designed to place the tubing string in tension. The tubing hanger system comprises a tubing hanger and a tubing anchor. Both the tubing hanger and the tubing anchor are designed to reside in series with the production tubing. The tubing hanger is threadedly connected to the tubing string at the top of the wellbore. The tubing anchor is also threadedly connected to the tubing string but is configured to be set within a string of casing downhole. Beneficially, the tubing hanger and the tubing anchor is each uniquely configured to be set through a rotation of the tubing string that is less than one full rotation. This enables use of a stainless steel chemical injection line extending from the tubing hanger to the tubing anchor. A method for hanging a string of production tubing in a wellbore, in tension, is also provided herein.
